Seems that the McCain campaign folks never bothered to license the music they were illegally exploiting for free featuring in the videos. Updated and Bumped: They did it again - the second time in two weeks. Apparently copyright laws are among the laws easily ignored by the McCain camp. Third Update: They did it again and now they're being sued.

Can you imagine if this were a reporter and camera man from CNN or MSNBC? The endless, round the clock, all channels, "HostageWatch 2006" coverage that this would be getting?

Fox News is keeping a low profile on this story, too, presumably by choice. Maybe they think that publicity would hurt the chance of getting these reporters back alive. Shouldn't we find out first, before we do a "blog burst?"

Any new information since Lori Byrd wrote this on wizbangblog on August 20th?
"Since the last I heard, and what I posted last week, was that there was some type of negotiation underway, and since Fox was instructing their employees not to mention it on air, I assumed they had concerns that some forms of publicity might negatively affect the outcome. I don't know whether or not that is the case, though. There are other reasons Fox could be keeping this very low profile."

IIRC, it was Fox that originally told its reporters, anchors and commentators not to talk about the kidnappings on air. That may be why it's still not getting much, if any, airtime. The theory being (and I'll admit I'm guessing here) that if the kidnappers see that they're not getting a bunch of free facetime they'll be more inclined to let Centani and Wiig go.

Why do you have an ad from Ben & Jerry's on the sidebar? They fund cop killers, Islamofascts and their moonbat mouthpieces in the U.S. and abroad.
I will not buy nor consume their products, period.

Nahanni ~ the ads come with a package. Individual blogs who opt into the package don't get to choose the advertisers. The placement rule, as I understand it, is "he who pays the most gets the top ad."
That said, I wouldn't eat their commie crap either.

No "blog burst" is justified.
I expect Fox is getting the best advice possible, from both independent sources and governments, ours and those in the region.
Besides, what would be the POINT of a "blog burst," anyway? To get a bunch of Americans interested in the case? This would help the victims - HOW, exactly, given that their kidnappers despise everything western already?
Does someone think some Islamo-fascist criminal is going to change his ways and "see the light" if we have a "blog burst?" Just what sort of power do some bloggers think they have?
Will they simply crush the kidnappers with their massively inflated egos, or what?

What's funny is the fake care that Malkin has for these two missing reporters as she emphasizes more hatred for Liberals and MSM than any compassion for these two journalists. Its nothing more than an opportunity to cash in on their fate to further her hate agenda and as usual, she is factually wrong. Other networks have covered this and very carefully as Fox has requested. This is why she allows no feedback on her website because too many people slapped her around with truths (something she knows little about). "Help me care for these two missing journalists by spewing out thumb-sucking anti-liberal childishness for their safe return!" Yeah....she cares!
Still, she makes a request on her blog site and all the little wannabe drones jump to her bidding like obedient thumb-sucking little bitches. 86 trackbacks and counting and most of them are the same thumb-sucking hate vomit, using these two journalists plight as an excuse to attack the Left and the Media while pretending they even care. They don't give a shit about anything but playing "Simon Says" and "Follow The Leader" like the good little obedient thumb-suckers that they are.

What is there about MM that threatens you to the point that you must attack her personally? People like you are the reason you can't comment on her site. Debra is hilarious!!! She sucks her thumb about personal attacks from me against Michelle Malkin? Has she even visited Malkins website? Bandwidth upon bandwidth of factually incorrect personal attacks but of course, Malkin shares Debra's extreme ideology so its completely OK. Gee Debra, did you mean to say "stop doing to us what we are so good at doing to you"? I think you meant to say that but I couldn't understand you with your thumb in your mouth.
Michelle Malkin is an idiot! Not a personal attack, just a fact.
