Psst! Angelina Does Not Like Obama – Pass It On!

Angelina Jolie is no fan of Barack Obama, according to this US Weekly article, here.

Barack Obama does not have Angelina Jolie’s seal of approval.

“She hates him,” a source close to the U.N. goodwill ambassador, 34, tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).

“She’s into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise,” adds the source.

Personally I don’t really care what celebrities think about politics, nor do I value their opinions. What they think about the issues really shouldn’t matter.

But here’s why it does matter. Sadly, many Americans are more engaged in celebrity gossip than real issues of the day. We are obsessed with celebrities. Many people are influenced by the opinions held by those in Hollywood. We can pretend that isn’t the case, but that would be wishful thinking, and denial.

So, let’s use this to our advantage. We rarely have such on opportunity. But Jolie has opened the door for us.

What we must do is this: Make sure everyone (especially the impressionable, star-struck among us) find out about this. How can this be done? Well I’ve done the first part, telling you about it here. You can do other things, you are a smart and creative bunch. But here are a few ideas:

Tell people about it
Post a link to the article in Facebook
Find the magazine in the store, open it to this page and leave it there
Buy the magazine and share this article

Bottom line: Pass It On!

p.s. You may wish to share this as an item of discussion at Thanksgiving dinner. However, if your family is anything like mine, politics and holidays never mix well. But if you are brave, go for it… Happy Thanksgiving!

    The articles says that she doesn’t really respect Brad when it comes to politics.

    This is funny because my girlfriend is an Obama fan (don’t ask!) and I really don’t respect her when it comes to politics either. In fact, I don’t respect myself when it comes to her politics.

    Before you get into a Love-fest with Ms Jolie, let’s not forget that she is still a BIG-Time Hillary Clinton believer.

    So while it’s nice to see her speak up on the right-side about Obama, she’s still has a generally left-leaning libertarianish appearance.

    But admittedly, it’s a step in the right direction for her.

    no proof she really said that. but if so, it is a lame half-thought. being for ‘education and rehabilitation’ without ‘money handed out’ is like being for apple pie without the apples. umm, education and rehabilitation COST MONEY, so…whomever cannot afford to pay out of pocket, needs help getting these things (with money)!!! saving up a minimum-wage, or pennies-under the -table, pay, will not get anyone who needs it that education and rehabilitation. i REALLY do not understand how it is that people in need, then, get this help, WITHOUT MONEY!!!???

    Jenn, while that’s true, IIRC, Jolie is one of the top charitably giving celebrities in Hollywood. So it’s not like she’s just saying the government should tax people to death.
