Al Franken poops on Joe Lieberman

The video speaks for itself… as does John McCain’s rather weak attempt to set Franken straight:

I think the video to be telling. It shows the Democrats to be the crass bullies that they truly are… and it shows the weakness, dare I say the impotence, of the party that stands in supposed opposition.

A pox on them both.

    When was Al Franken *not* an asshole, and a rather vindictive one at that? Now that he’s in the Senate he just gets a national stage to portray himself.

  • Rich

    I just can’t put into words the degree of nausea I feel at Franken being a Senator. I can not think of another more perfect image for an assclown.

  • Michael

    McCain’s comments were fine. He did’nt stoop to Franken’s level.

  • hcddbz

    Why is Junior Senator C haring a committee?
    It beyond obvious he does not yet know the Senate decorum.

  • I know Senator McCain was referring to “comity” but this is really lowbrow COMEDY – with Al Franken being the lowest brow of all! Isn’t this p.o.s. a Harvard man? Does he have ANY manners at all. Did he not learn ANYTHING throughout his life.

    And dear merciful heavens, isn’t that the UGLIEST mug you’ve ever seen? Chairing a committee? He just got there!

  • J.R.

    Guys, it’s worse. Franken wasn’t chairing a committee, he was in charge of the entire Senate during this time!! Un-friggin-believable. Franken is a national embarrassment and the folks who voted for him in Minnesota should hang their heads in shame.

  • Mac Lorry

    Franken is a national embarrassment and the folks who voted for him in Minnesota should hang their heads in shame.

    As should the folks in Minnesota who manufactured enough phony votes to elect Franken.

  • Les Nessman

    ~400 phony ACORN votes + Al Franken = passage of socialized mecicine

    election fraud has consequences

  • wright

    As a beleaguered Minnesotan who didn’t vote for Frankenstein, I can tell you with some authority that he perfectly represents the people who put him in office.

  • 914

    “Franken is a national embarrassment and the folks who voted for him in Minnesota should hang their heads in shame”

    More voted for Coleman but what can the matter be? Talk about a sic joke. Ive lived here 47 years and have never been more embarrased to be a Minnesotan.

    Look at that face if You dare’, If that isnt a hate crime I dont know what is.

    Some brilliant quotations from ME, Al Franken:

    I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me…

    It’s a shame spiral…

  • GAry

    Joe is reaping what he sowed. McInSane has always be an angry man since losing his bid for presidency. Get all of those old foggies out and in with new blood.

  • 914

    “Joe is reaping what he sowed.”

    Yes, good for Joe. Im really impressed with His gumption and common sense to stand up to the leftists amongst Him.

    And to think in 2000 I labled the ticket “Sore, Loserman”, Well, He may have been on the loser’s ticket but was not the losing part.

  • Faith+1

    As much as I despise Franken, if this starts an internal battle that ties Congress up for a few weeks while they infight and do nothing then I’d have to applaud the move.

  • GarandFan

    Rules is Rules. Unless you’re a Democrat.

    Al FREAKLAND and JOE LIARMAN what a cpouple of scoundrels and villians

  • SteveP

    God bless you, Al Franken. Keep up the good work.

  • AboutTime

    Waaaa Haaa – About time some one shuts up the esteemed Senator from Israel.

  • Oyster

    Franken is a foul man with no sense of decency and those in Minnesota who voted for him owe the rest of the country an apology.

  • James H

    Thanks a lot. I really, really hate Triumph. And now you’ve reminded me of him with that headline.

  • DaveD

    “God bless you, Al Franken. Keep up the good work.”

    Oh my, SteveP, a liberal that believes in God? I’m impressed.

    Hahaha, Democrat supermajority, hahaha, in congress, hahaha, and they still can’t get it done, hahaha, and the best you can do, hahahaha, is blame it on, hahahah, Republican obstructionism, hahahah. Hahahahahahhaha, (inhales deeply), hahahahhahahaha. You are so clueless it’s pathetic.

  • I’m actually glad Franken is in the Senate. Seriously. Every time the public is forced to look at that idiot’s puffy little toad face on TV, it only makes it that much harder for the media to tell their audience to close their eyes and pretend that the US Senate is not a pathetic collection of buffoons, poltroons, and loons.

    Al Franken? I coulda sworn that was the southern end of the northbound Incitatus.

  • Kroveechernila

    Which Senator objected to Mark Dayton having another thirty seconds to finish his remarks in October 2002 during the Iraq debate? Was it this same John McCain or a different one?

  • libturd troll “Besides, he was just following rules put in place by Harry Reid because of extreme Republican obstructionism.”

    What “rule?” Oh WAIT you mean this “one”

    “Besides, he was just following rules put in place by Harry Reid because of extreme Republican obstructionism. Rules that, despite what Crazy John McCain wants to believe, had been put into use earlier the same day.

    Pssst, do you know the number or designation of this so called “rule?”

    Secondly, funny that you overlook McCain’s admission he wasn’t aware of this so called “rule” due to not being present when it was “invoked.

    more for the resident libturd “DaveD, you really don’t need to demonstrate to everyone your complete and utter ignorance of how our government works. It’s understood.”

    I fell fairly certain Dave D knows full well how gov. works but you… you on the other hand obviously have taken an overdose of stupid pills.

    That overdoes was preceded by a your “supermajority” in the Senate and House that is crumbling faster than Tiger racks up another whore.

    Funnyl how the democrats can’t get along-not even to pass a bill even though they have 60 senators to 40-

    But it’s the Republicans who are “obstructing”.

    They are the party of “it’s not my fault” and it’s the “Republican’s fault”, and Obama is just, if not more at fault.

    Look around you liberals, how is that lying working?

  • Nice try libturd, the stunt was about health care not about funding, or not funding the troops.

    Conservatives flip out about nothing, mediamatters.org/blog/200912180032\

    “Usually you’re allowed to do this and, just, today we were told not to let it happen because there’s been some attempt to string out the debate,” Franken said. “So, I really just had no choice.”

    Lieberman laughed off the incident as much ado about nothing when he returned to the chamber a couple of hours later. He said that Franken apparently was following procedures for sticking to time limits that had been handed down by Senate leaders. Franken had made a good-natured gesture with his hands, Lieberman said, “as if to say ‘There’s nothing I can do’.”

    Meanwhile, thinkprogress.org/2009/12/18/mccain-hypocrisy-franken/ would like a word with John McCain 2009.

  • Kroveechernila, thinkprogress?

    Really?

    Do you have a olberman bobblehead doll also?

  • Jim Addison

    There is something to be said for anything which hastens the destruction of the myth of Senatorial “comity and collegiality” which has been the source of much mischief over the last half-century or so. The Democrats have always used this myth to entice Republicans into going against their better instincts and self-interest to allow Democrats leeway, but the courtesy is never returned in any significant circumstance.

    ~~~~~~~
    BTW ~ Al Gore is not an “extraordinary liar” IMHO. He is a quite ordinary liar who is merely extraordinarily prolific and shameless with his lies.
    Screw them all. Vote every incumbent out of office regardless of party. If your favorite party runs the same person – then vote for someone else. The 2-party system is broken as long as these incumbents keep getting re-elected.
  • 914
    “The 2-party system is broken as long as these incumbents keep getting re-elected”
    Yes Ken, You can say that again. Pathetic.
    So Franken was just following orders. Just like the SS did using Zyklon-B on the Jews in WWII. Too bad they ran out of Zyklon-B before they got to wipe out Franken’s mother’s side’s DNA.\
    but John McCain saying ‘he’d never seen anything like that in 17 years in the Senate’ when he himself did the same thing in 2002 is kinda noteworthy, don’t you think?
    Senator McCain, on the other hand, is a hypocrite for decrying the action of Senator Franken and claiming it as a breach of decorum, when in fact he had engaged in the exact same behavior a few years ago during another critical debate.
    get it now?
    Quick! Go ahead and give it a positive vote!
