Obama: It’s All Bush’s Fault

I feel like vomiting after the garbage that was shoved down my throat tonight.

To sum up:

Why did Obama deepen our debt? Bush.
Why did we lose the jobs that Obama said we wouldn’t? Bush.
Did Bush have any problems while in office? No, he made them (I guess for Obama to deal with)

And of course, tax cuts won’t work, spending less won’t work. We MUST tax, we must spend, and somehow the average American will have more money in their wallet.

Oh, and the government can save everybody and everything.

Yep, Barry had “original” material tonight. But he need not worry about the Obamabots. They’ll believe anything.

If he thought he was going to placate the ‘angry’ masses. He missed. September will be soooooo sweet!

  • John

Yeah, it’s so lame when presidents use the SotU address to blame their predecessors. Like this guy:

To understand the State of the Union, we must look not only at where we are and where we are going but at where we’ve been. The situation at this time last year was truly ominous.

The last decade has seen a series of recessions. There was a recession in 1970, another in 1974, and again in the spring of 1980. Each time, unemployment has increased and inflation soon turned up again. We coined the word “stagflation” to describe this.

Government’s response to these recessions was to pump up the money supply and increase spending.

One man’s “garbage” is another man’s haute
cuisine. The Lib pundits on cable are basically
saying he served up a hot MRE to America
………and THAT’S GOOD ENOUGH FOR NOW.

    That’s why you’re in the wimmen&chirren boat.

worst and most devisive SOTU ever!!

President Putz sucks like none before him!

    November 2010 will be “interesting”

Michael, if tax cuts work, why are we in this mess? After all, from 2001 to present, Bush’s taxcuts are still in effect. Obama has not YET, raised taxes.

Instead of trickle down, can you say trickle up. Otherwise we wouldn’t have this mess, according to your beliefs that it trickled down and that actually worked.

And how did you figure out how this country was going to pay back all the money that Bush borrowed to pay for the wars? Now that the price of the wars are in the budget, instead of not being counted, just how much did Obama raise the debt?

Where was your voice when the GOP continued to borrow and spend? WHAT’S THAT, I DIDN’T HEAR YOUR VOICE BACK THEN. Senator Hatch made the statement that they (GOP) didn’t care about the defeict when they were borrowing. And damn sure they didn’t care how it was going to be paid back.

Wake up, the taxpayers are being played by both parties, and neither party cares about the taxpayers. They are all crooks.

If you didn’t hear our voice then, it’s because you weren’t listening. I’ll let others correct the rest of your idiocy.

if tax cuts work, why are we in this mess?

JC of the short memory. The hit the economy took post 9/11. The LOW unemployment rate through 2006. Recall that? 5%. Better than when Billy Bob was running the show. Not that the MSM ever reported it. Have you also ‘forgotten’ that a DEMOCRATIC congress has been handling the purse strings since 2007? How about that BLOATED Stimulus that didn’t? 9000 ‘earmarks’. $116 MILLION alone for Nancy’s Marsh Mouse. Murtha got his ‘international’ airport runway repaved. Only serves two light aircraft a day. Did unemployment stay below 8% Now the Obamassiah wants to bring Crap and Trade back up. Yeah, let’s pay $6 gallon for fuel. That’s sure to help the economy. You talk about the money Bush borrowed. What about all the freaking money Barry’s borrowing? Or is that some more of that Democratic “NUANCE”?
Tax cuts WORKED three times before: Reagan, Clinton and Bush. Now if only the shitheads in Washington would cut THEIR SPENDING.

So Barry blamed Bush again? What a surprise! I must be some kind of clairvoyant to have seen that coming. Im almost sorry I missed the empty suit with a red tie say it..

    “That’s why you’re in the wimmen&chirren boat.”

Careful! You’ll make him cry. You know how these gutless wonders are when there’s work to be done.

jc hammer[head] “Michael, if tax cuts work, why are we in this mess? After all, from 2001 to present, Bush’s taxcuts are still in effect. Obama has not YET, raised taxes.”

Geesh, can we hear less of this meme? It’s been trotted out by every dem pundit since obama was elected.

Lets talk truth jc rather than spewing garbage, truth such as you’re arguing on one side of the equation.

The tax cuts during bush’s term were mitigated by uncontrolled spending by both parties in congress and continue, at a FAR FASTER rate since obama was elected.

Tax cuts don’t mean shit unless spending is cut.

BTW “cut” doesn’t mean a “freeze” on them. His so called “freeze” takes hold after gov spending went up on average by 25 percent in 2009 and you can BET it will continue to go up this year.

Freeze my ass, its a shell game.

P.S. while on the topic of talking points I see you embraces obamas claim of not raising tax on Americans.

BS, taxes were raised on tobacco products. He lied and it’s a lie you foolishly grabbed.

  • Cindermutha

I see the trolls were sent their instructions for countering the “blame Bush”. Note how silent they were while last week while their bosses were trying to figure out how to spin.

  • superdestroyer

It is very easy to blame Bush because the Republicans have never developed a good strategy to deal with the incompetence, stupidity, and failures of the Bush Administration. That anyone who ever served in the Bush Administration is still involved in Republican politics is enough to show that the Republicans have still not learn the proper lessons.

It is hard to criticize the Obama Administration when the alternative is putting the incompetents from the Bush Administration back in power.

  • Matt

    Michael,

Did you somehow expect something different?

That has to be one of he sub definitions of insanity, listening to an Obama speech and expecting to hear something of substance.

I appreciate your sacrifice in listening to Obama spew last night so I didn’t have to. Reading the transcript is sickening enough.

  • DaveD

    From JC:
“Michael, if tax cuts work, why are we in this mess? After all, from 2001 to present, Bush’s taxcuts are still in effect. Obama has not YET, raised taxes.”

If the Democrats retain their majority after the midterms I think all we need to do is sit back and see what they will do with the Bush tax cuts set to expire next year. I believe there was an article in the WSJ yesterday describing how some of the more moderate Democrats are getting nervous about what it will mean to the economy when these cuts do indeed expire next year. People will perceive it as a tax hike no matter how you cut it. The tax cuts themselves have not hurt the economy. The exuberant use of credit is more to blame. Something our own government should begin to recognize with its drunken spending on credit.

“Wake up, the taxpayers are being played by both parties, and neither party cares about the taxpayers. They are all crooks.”

Please, this is not something new to us, but since you bring it up, what is your solution? Have you become a member of the Tea Party because this is their well taken point? For me, after the performance of the past 12 months I’ll still take the lesser of the two evils. The Republicans are at least more business friendly and at the present there is a greater chance they will put more money in my pocket; sorry if I sound selfish. This “it’s both parties” meme may have validity but it is the rationale trotted out by the Libs when they realize their corrupt Democrats ain’t looking too attractive. Barry is incompetent but he wants to spread the blame (to Bush). The Democrats have a supermajority yet remain incompetent so let’s blame both parties.

  • Big Mo

Tax cuts are not what led to the current mess, liberals. The irresponsibility of Congress (esp Dems) in relaxing lending standards was a far greater cause.

  • Big Mo

More to the point, this mess was caused by a failure of financial engineering. Too few people understood all of the new financial products, including secruitized mortgages, that had hit the market. When companies’ risk management proved to be (putting it caharitably) less than stellar, many firms — and many homeowners — found themselves in deep dirt because they were living on credit with nothing to back it up.

This led to the problems of massive failures, toxic assets, a huge spoike in foreclosures, etc. etc.

But tax cuts really had nothing to do with it.

    superdouchebag said:

“It is very easy to blame Bush because the Republicans have never developed a good strategy to deal with the incompetence, stupidity, and failures of the Bush Administration.”

The Dems have never had to worry about any strategy because Dem voters are stupid enough to swallow all lies hook, line and sinker.

Simply put, the trillion-dollar deficits are OWNED by the Dems, and the Jug-Eared Douche in particular; NOT by the Bush administration. The lying, tax-dodging fraud Geithner is owned by Zero; same for Zero’s lobbyist brigade; same for the Wall Street chumps that invested in Zero, only to have him turn on them like a rabid chihuahua; same for the ‘jobs saved’ lies; same for the stupidity of moving terrorists from Gitmo to Illinois ‘Gitmo-North’; same for cap’n’trade (based on climate fraud); same for the ‘stimulus’ that’s done, oh, absolutely dick.

How’s that for incompetence, stupidity and failure, superdouchebag?

I’d have to laugh at stupid twats like greenie, superdouchebag and other libbie trolls, but I can’t. That these retards don’t have the high-order brain function to understand Zero’s intellectual fraud is tragic.

  • WildWillie

Both parties are not serving the people well. But it seems the republicans have learned their lesson while the dems trot out the same speech and refuse to accept accountability. ww

  • Stan25

It is hard to criticize the Obama Administration when the alternative is putting the incompetents from the Bush Administration back in power.

Who in the hell do you think is running the current administration? Seems to me that most of the people that are in the top positions are Clintoon retreads. Don’t hand me that bullshit about Leon Panetta, Hillary and a few others that were Clintoon top aides. These are the same folks that covered up for Der Slickmeister during Monicagate and other Clintoon peccadilloes. Why should things be any different now? Oh I forgot about Van Jones and rest of the Unconstitutional Czars are doing all of the heavy lifting while 0 is out on the perpetual campaign trail.

  • GarandFan

Hmmmm…..the trolls are finding it hard to sell Barry this morning. MORE LIPSTICK ON THAT PIG GUYS! Then run on over to DK and get some more talking points about how great THE WON is.

  • MikeNC

“Yeah, it’s so lame when presidents use the SotU address to blame their predecessors. Like this guy: ” – John

John the problem with His Wonderfulness is that blaming Bush for everything has become the theme of his first year. Over, and over, and over, and over….. That is real leadership you can believe in.

  • Drago

JC: “Michael, if tax cuts work, why are we in this mess? “

Politico (Jan8, 09): “President-elect Barack Obama is warning this morning that the economy “could become dramatically worse” and face unemployment above 10 percent without bipartisan support for a massive government stimulus program that would temporarily add to the record federal budget deficit but would “save or create at least 3 million jobs over the next few years.”

Ugh, the Dems passed their stimulus program.

Joe Biden (Sep4,2009): “”The Recovery Act is doing more, faster and more efficiently and more effectively than most people expected.”

Joe Biden (Sep24, 2009): “”In my wildest dreams, I never thought it would work this well,” he said. “Thank you, thank you.”

JC, if the Dems are so incredibly smart, and they passed their “stimulus” bill which they claimed would keep unemployment below 8%, and Joe Biden and other libs said it’s working great and, in fact, better than expected, how can unemployment be above 10%?

Further, please define a “saved” job and tell us how it is calculated.

    Thanks for playing.

    See you in November, comrade.

I could be proven wrong, but I bet Obama let’s the tax cuts “expire”.

Obama is your typical liberal demacrat lay the blame on others like they like to blame gun makers or the NRA for a shooting incedent
