I don’t care what you post, Rodney. I am and will remain unwilling to say, “I miss Carter.”

Odd though, isn’t ti? After comparing these numbers we’re left with the absolute fact that the MSM activilly reported the “misery index” during Carter’s term yet have not comparable reportage for our current {P)resident. I guess when you’ve banished inflation by decree there is no misery?

    • UOG,

I have not said, nor will I say, that I miss James Earl “Dhimmy” Carter.

I’ve had several posts here on the record misery indeces wracked up by 0bama.

Carter puts affirmative action to shame!

Guess its official. Barry is indeed a shame-duck!

No need to report those numbers.  The recession is over!  Things are going great!  The economy is rebounding.  Green shoots sprouting up all over!  Happy Days are here again!  Unemployment numbers dropping like a rock!  Teenagers are quickly finding summer jobs!

    Barry is an economic genius!

GarandFan, you forgot the resurgence of the Unicorn herds, the lowering of the oceans, and the rainbows-on-demand!!!

on a more serious note , after the 2010 1st Qtr number of 3.9% was released, President Obama OFFICIALLY took credit (and thus ownership) for the economy.
    February 17, 2010:
“We have rescued this economy from the worst of this crisis”

Of course, the economy has been DOWNHILL ever since that 3.9% high-water mark…hitting .04% last quarter. And it’s only 1.3% now because they haven’t revised it DOWNWARD yet…that happens next quarter!

Once ya take ownership, Barry dumbest, you OWN IT!

Of course Barry’s worshipers claim Booooosh still owns it (now that it’s got bad again)

  • If anyone misses Carter, they should work on their aim.

  • One of the biggest problems that American Progressives and
American conservatives have is a lack of communication. Nowhere is that more
apparent than in the past few years with the Heath care bill and now with the
debt ceiling crisis. I don’t know what conservatives want and this is a big
part of the problem. Over the course of the rest of the day, I will be posting
this question on 100 conservative blogs as well as at media outlets in
    comments:

“It is 2013, you have a supermajority in both the House
and the Senate and a true conservative GOP president. What are the top ten
things that you would want to see come out of government in the two years you
would have certainty that a conservative agenda will be carried out?”

Your options are open. You can respond at the post for this
question at our blog or if you’re not comfortable going to a liberal blog you
can post your answers inline here and they’ll be retrieved by a member of my

Call me crazy, but I think “Progressives” and conservative communicate quite clearly.  The Progressives want a tightly controlled and regulated society under the boot of Big Brother… er, the Big State bureaucracy overseen by a small cadre of academic-Big Business/CEO-media-NGO elitist “do-gooders.”  The conservatives on the other hand, want a free market economy, limited government and a people who are free to seek their personal and familial well-being.  It’s not lack of communication; it’s diametrically opposed goals and objectives which are the cause of conflict.  And, of course, the left’s unwillingness to make the slightest effort to understand that conservatives don’t “want” anything except for “We, the People” to be left the eff alone.  Oh, and for those who don’t know, the above “journalist” contributes to two light and frothy web sites entitled The Office of the Torturer General and Editorials from Hell’s Leading Daily Newspaper.  Anyone have a wrench?  ‘Cause clearly there’s a screw loose here!

“It is 2013, What are the top ten things that you would want to see come out of government in the two years you would have certainty that a conservative agenda will be carried out?”

    1.  Repeal Obamacare
    2.  Repeal the prescription drug law signed under Bush
    3.  Repeal the mileage standards on cars, let free market work
    4.  Repeal all subsidies for EVERYTHING
    5.  Repeal low flow toilets
    6.  Repeal mercury battery law.
    7.  Repeal lending laws that force banks to lend to everyone no matter if they qualify or not.
    8.  Repeal Departments of FDA, EPA, DOE, TSA (That means kill them lock, stock, and barrel)
    9. Balanced Budget Amendment
    10.  Outlaw earmarks forever.

That’s a start.  Also we need cuts to spending, major cuts, but some of the above will help with that.
