0bama by the Numbers; The Video

Wizbang’s JT made mention the other day, and provided links to, a great infographic created by John E. of Ace of Spades.  The moronosphere (Ace’s fans gleefully refer to themselves as “morons” the “moron nation” and “the moronoshpere”) frequently produces such great material (which is why I’m a frequent visitor and occasional commenter).

It just got better!

This is, without a doubt, the most damning advertisement yet seen in the campaign to send Obama back to Chicago.

The chart itself was devastating, but this is a very nice presentation, easy to understand.

But…but….but it’s not my fault!  I inherited a mess!  The Republican majority over the last 3 years was against me!  Americans are too soft!  Governing is hard!

The Excuse Campaign goes on and on.

Seems Ace’s moron nation is proving to be a helluva lot smarter than the so-called smart guys in DC.

      Faint praise, that…

The only thing missing is the shot of Barry at the end in a diaper crying.

      That comes in 2012!!

He looks a hell of a lot older since those forlorn days of hope and change? I guess the old adage about age and wisdom doesn’t apply here. Unless of course he don’t run? In which case I will be among first to say.. ‘Thank You Barry!@’  And goodbye!

Being President’s pretty much the hardest job I can imagine.  Think about it – you’ve got responsibility for the entire country resting on your shoulders.  You’ve got a Congress that may or may not be on your side on certain issues.  You’re tasked with making decisions daily on complex issues when you may or may not have sufficient information to make a good decision.  And your decisions directly affect the prosperity of the country.

Make bad decisions, and the effects are notable.  The media might try to spin for you, but they can only do so much.

Yeah, the perqs are sweet indeed – but Obama’s basically a prisoner in a gilded cage.  He can’t quit the job, he doesn’t know how to lead, he doesn’t know how to select good people to advise him, he doesn’t have any real functional experience in pretty much every aspect of his job, and the theoretical background he’s got isn’t proving out quite the way he was taught it would.  Plus, he’s made a hell of a lot of promises that he doesn’t have any way of keeping even AS President.

He’s in way over his head – and he voluntarily stuck his feet in the cement overshoes and jumped over the side of the boat.

I remember when I was walking by the TV and this character Obama was saying he was going to give a run for the presidency a try.  I said to myself then, who the hell is this nobody.  I read up a little on him and thought “Oh, Brother”.   And my instincts told me it was going to be a disaster.  And NO, not because he was black/ or half black.  My gut feeling kick in (which never lets me down) and I knew the nation was going to suffer big time if he did win. Young and cool, well that is okay for a rock star not a leader of a nation.  He has a smug, chip on his shoulder attitude that comes throught no matter how much he tries to cover it up at times for the sake of show.  And his mate is even worst.  Dump both of them for the sake of our country’s/children future.

The problem I saw with him was that he hadn’t DONE anything.  Editor, Harvard Review – but no records were released on his education.  Co-manager on the Annenburg Challenge, which had little to no result for the money spent.  As a  state legislator… his record was pretty skimpy.  As a US Senator – he authored no legislation and seemed to specialize in voting ‘Present’.  He had essentially no leadership experience, and showed pretty much nothing as far as innovative thinking went.

It was thin stuff.  The only thing really going for him was a blank record, a ‘freshness’, charisma cranked up to 11 and a syncophantic media - but it’s looking more and more like Obama’s aware his charisma and the media can’t save him.

And consider – he was the percieved best the Democrats could come up with.  What’s wrong with this picture?

He wasn’t the best the dems could come up with.
He was black and with a party consumed by identity politics, that trumped everything, even Hillary.

Percieved best, Hank.  He fit a criteria, and whether he’d be a good President wasn’t part of the specification.  After all, Bush was an ignorant fool (when he wasn’t a cunning genius) and didn’t that show that anyone could handle the job?

Hillary would have been a much better choice, I think.  Though – if Hillary HAD gotten the nod and run, and won, we could well be saying the same sort of thing about Obama right now.  (See “Grass, fence, greener on the other side…”)

But I think that Hil would have been a hell of a lot more practically inclined, and much less ideologically rigid.

My worry about Hillary would have been that she was smart enough to stay in office for eight years and then they would foist Obama on us. Maybe things worked out better than we could have hoped.
If Obama pulls a win somehow and gets another four years it would kill off hillary’s chances for president. Another four years of Obama and no democrat will win the office. If there is still a country left.

“Smart enough to stay in office for eight years” implies that she wouldn’t have done everything possible to FUBAR the economy, realizing that a functioning country would have been far better for her ‘legacy’ than basking in the approving glow of all the folks who were supporting Obama.

Well, it’s all speculation anyway.  Can’t change the past, after all…

My concerns with Obama started with his 2004 Senate race, where coincidentally his strongest Democratic primary challenger (Blair Hull) and Republican Senate seat challenger (Jack Ryan) had to drop out of the race when their sealed divorce settlements were unsealed and then printed by the Illinois media. Even then it said that David Axelrod was behind the whole thing.

    At least he’s been consistent.
