The whole is very much worth your time.  Victor Davis Hanson reviews the reservations and criticisms concerning candidate Obama in 2008 against the reality of (P)resident Obama in 2011, and finds the critics of 2008 to have been dead on in each and every case.

    Unfortunately, saying “We told you he was worthless, and he proved it” still isn’t going to stop the idiots for voting for Obama to prove they aren’t racist or the ones who will because they are. They still believe it is all Booooosh’s fault, no matter how much proof you show them.

    But despite the fact that obama has proven a disaster in virtually every arena: Jobs, economic growth, race relations, government spending, foreign relations, etc,  Opposition to him and his agenda are still well known to be founded exclusively in racism.

    Barry’s only recourse is too cheat with the help of every dead soul he can fabricate and enact ‘The Martial Plan!’  (TM). This of course after his Panthers riot,maim and loot in a fashion reminiscent of the LA riots..

    Yet the media is already falling upon a new Pew Research study claiming Obama is getting worse press than either his predecessors or any Republican candidates.  What they don’t mention, of course, is that Pew dealt in raw numbers including, in their words “hundreds of thousands” of websites, mostly blogs. 

    So a positive story for Obama on NBC is offset by posts on a few tiny conservative blogs with little or no traffic, and the media will attempt to use those numbers to justify being even more in the tank for Obama.

    The good news is that major media is bleeding readership and credibility constantly and have been for years.  Their influence is falling as well.

    If McCain’s still alive at the end of next year, then there will be a point there about prescience, with 20/20 hindsight. 

    I’m surprised VDH did not include some pompous reference to the Oracle of Delphi.
