Obama about daughters: They’re going to be successful, even if the country isn’t

Hope and change… for his daughters but not necessarily his country:

Obama arrogancePresident Obama believes that Republican leadership of the country would ruin the United States as a land of opportunity, but he’s (justifiably) confident that his daughters will have plenty of opportunities, no matter what.

“Our kids are going to be fine,” Obama told supporters at a campaign event last night. “And I always tell Malia and Sasha, look, you guys, I don’t worry about you . . . they’re on a path that is going to be successful, even if the country as a whole is not successful. But that’s not our vision of America.  I don’t want an America where my kids are living behind walls and gates, and can’t feel a part of a country that is giving everybody a shot.”

Well then Mr. President… why don’t you go ahead and resign so that we can get a jumpstart on that vision?

Please.

Don’t his kids live behind walls and gates now?

Obama is either trying to lose his reelection bid, or he is the stupidest person to occupy the office since the advent of electricity.  He’s recently disparaged the American public as being “lazy” and now suggests our future may be in doubt.  This is only a viable tactic for him because any potential 2012 Obama voters are so hopelessly stupid that they wouldn’t even have seen the reports.

    • herddog505

Either that or they outright relish the idea of America as a “failure”.

“Either that or they outright relish the idea of America as a “failure”. ”

Look at the OWS folks.  They’d tear down what we have if they could, and they’re pissed because people won’t let them. They see America as a failure because they think THEY should be on top of the heap after spending loads’o'dough for worthless degrees. That they aren’t shows just how manifestly unfair the system is.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_OIE22UZSQ362ZK246R3NJZ3JD4 Brett

Exactly! How could they have possibly forseen that a degree in LBGT studies from Columbia, and atrocious personal hygiene, would result in unemployment. Damn those rich bastards!

  • http://www.rustedsky.net Anonymous

Yeah, his kids will be just fine – he’s got enough favors out that they’ll be taken care of with high-paying jobs doing nothing for the rest of their lives.

The rest of us? Not so much.

    • Anonymous

That’s true, and just like all presidential kids, no matter how addled or incompetent, they’ll be taken care of.

That’s the way the country is – we have the nepotism of an Arab dictatorship among our elites.  Politics, media, entertainment, business.

So Obama was stating a truth, big whoop.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ryan-Murphy/100001624276605 Ryan Murphy

Except for the implication that he was somehow anything but horrid for our economy.

      • http://www.rustedsky.net Anonymous

And you’ll still vote for him in 2012.   Gotta support your local dictator, right?  That nepotism requires a good, loyal, sympathetic base to keep going.

Assuming he runs, instead of running away from the mess he worked so very hard to ‘fix’.

Gotta love the way he rubs it in your face, right?  “You’re fucked, but MY kids will be fine.”

As if . . . it makes any difference who wins the election next year.

The USA is in decline for a number of reasons, some within its control (wars, rotting infrastructure, epidemic ignorance) and some out of its control (rising China, India, Brasil).

The “democracy” that we live in is a Kabuki theater.  It’s going to be the same old shit as before, only worse.

Obama or the chickenhawk who is going to be up against him, why bother?   The men behind the curtain will dictate whether we go to war with Iran, China or Liechtenstein.

I’ll cast a vote for the Prohibitionist Party or write in Ron Paul.  The only reason I’ll vote is because they’ll be someone I know on the ballot for local office.  Voting for selectman is important.  President, not so much.

          • http://www.rustedsky.net Anonymous

I think it does matter – Obama for a second term, he’d ‘finish the job’.  With no worries about being re-elected, he’d screw us over good and proper.

”Sorry – we’re ‘re-examining’ all our options re energy, that’s why we’ve stopped the permitting process entirely.  Sorry – we’re ‘re-examinging’ our options re the economy, that’s why we’re giving out 300 weeks of unemployment instead of 99.  And we’re going to even the economic landscape – if you make more than $100k/year, we need EVERYTHING above that amount from you rich bastards to pay the unemployment costs for the folks on long-term unemployment.  That the deficit will run $3 trillion this year, $4 trillion next year, and is forecast to hit $5 trillion over the next three years isn’t important at all.

            “Because I won.  Suckers.”

          • Anonymous

Ummm, Chico – the US is not a democracy, it’s a representative republic.

Now, since you believe pedestrians always have the right-of-way, do us all a favor and go play in traffic. Just don’t vote anymore, OK?

          • PBunyan

“Voting for selectman is important.  President, not so much.”

They way America was supposed to be–the way our founders set it up under the constitution– that would be true.  Unfortunately that is no longer the case.  In today’s America the Federal Government has way, way more power over and effect on your life than your local government does. True it should be the opposite, but it’s not.

And yes, domestically Ron Paul is very right on that point, but coming off as a nut like he often does, he has no chance of getting elected.

At least you’re not an Obama supporter.

          • Anonymous

Paul is the only sane one.

          • PBunyan

I never said he wasn’t sane, he just comes off as being a bit nutty.  His foreign policy views are downright dangerous.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ryan-Murphy/100001624276605 Ryan Murphy

Paul can’t even see sanity from his vantage point. . .and he STILL would, unfortunately, be an improvement over the current actively malicious president.

          • jim_m

None of the reasons you list (except maybe the ignorance) is why the US is in decline.

The reasons for decline are a massive entitlement state that is bent on wealth redistribution in any way possible regardless of the long term negative impact economically, and crushing regulation that throttles economic growth in the cradle, and a tax policy that makes some states the most anti business locations in the world.

You want a country that is viable stop killing of business. The left hasn’t figured that out and the “epidemic ignorance” on the left is leading ther left ti eed more of what created these problems.

          • Anonymous

All countries but the most obscene oligarchies like Equatorial Guinea redistribute wealth. In Equitorial Guinea, the top keeps it all.

Bismarck came up with the concept, to prevent social and political disorder and crime.

Tax rates are not out of line, in fact lower than most other free market countries.  Regulation is not that bad compared to most of Europe or Japan, which somehow manage to live OK.  The USA is ranked 4 out of 183 countries in the “Ease of Doing Business” regulatory index by the World Bank, how bad could it be?

Military spending, now that’s another matter.

          • retired.military

“, in fact lower than most other free market countries.

Here let me fix that for you

“, in fact lower than most other free market countries. and given their SOCIALIST WELFARE STATES THEY ARE FALLING FASTER THAN THE PANTIES ON A $2 WHORE EVEN WITH 60% TAX RATES”

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ryan-Murphy/100001624276605 Ryan Murphy

It is funny that the ONLY spending liberals ever want to cut is spending actually authorized by the constitution, and they want to cut it so they can use the money to pay for things which you only can authorize by torturing and,I’ll insert this language just for you Chico, ‘Waterboarding’ the constitution.

          • retired.military

“. it makes any difference who wins the election next year. ”

So that was a yes as in your would be voting for him next year.

“The USA is in decline for a number of reasons, some within its control (wars, rotting infrastructure, epidemic ignorance) and some out of its control (rising China, India, Brasil).”

Here let me fix that for you

“The USA is in decline for a number of reasons, some within its control (Obama, Barney Fwank, the unions, Fannie and Freddie, Obama bailouts to the unions, lack of a budget, Obama going $4T in debt in 3 years.  At least 4 times faster than any previous President oh and epidemic ignorance – shwn by Obama getting 52% of the vote in 2008. ) and some out of its control (rising China, India, BraZil fixed spelling for you).”

“So Obama was stating a truth, big whoop.      ”

A truth for the first time is a big whoop.

    Unbelievable.

    Let there be no doubt.
Obama really doesn’t think too much of the country that elected him President.

With any luck, next fall we’ll be able to express the same about him.

  • Anonymous

Mr. President… why don’t you go ahead and resign so that we can get a jump start on that

Yup, and while your doing it – insist on your VP’s resignation too.

I’ve been saying for quite a while that Obama is our first anti-American President.

It is not good to have more confirming evidence of my statement.

  • Anonymous

It really is amazing to have a president be so negative about our country. He truly is “The Great Divider”. He has increased the partisanship of our country to insane levels, empowered our enemies, pissed off our allies, raised class divisions to the point where we have the OWS all over the place. Negative comments like this just feed a lot of the crazy left that thinks we deserve to go down in flames.

What did the press think a ‘community organizer’ did in the first place?  It was his job to foster and direct resentments and anger in the community.  To BE divisive and stir stuff up, to stimulate the festering problems and bring them to a boil, with the idea that enough trouble would provoke a payoff by the folks the anger was directed at.

He literally knows nothing else.  You don’t get to be a community organizer by focusing on the GOOD.

      • retired.military

“What did the press think a ‘community organizer’ did in the first place?”They didnt care.  He had a D by his name. that is all that mattered.

Lying Asshole Obama: ” I don’t want an America where my kids are living behind walls”

Then stop building ALL THOSE F-ING WALLS!

Oh wait, SCOAMF is talking about his daughters.  As part of the 1%-ers they won’t get trapped and opressed by all the onerous new regulations like the most of the children in America.

That quote should be plastered on every Republican poster printed until next November with the picture you used in the header.  But it won’t be.

    • Anonymous

I agree. Obama has provided enough material for a slew of Repub commercials.
Just contrast his campaign promises to what he’s actually done.

I’ve heard Obama’s people are running ads against Romney accusing him (correctly) of being a flip-flopper. This is easily answered with a similar ad against Obama.

Problem is, I don’t know if the repubs have it in them to really fight back as hard as they should.

  • Anonymous

Side note: Don’t know about anyone else, but the picture being used here is simply unbelievable.

What kind of an ego does someone have to possess to actually pose like that anywhere, let alone in public?

Put that together with the pic of Obama admiring himself in the mirror.
A true legend in his own mind.

    • herddog505

Consider that MiniTru, which normally covers for Obama like they are fellow inmates, published those pics, along with the various ones where he has a halo.  I must conclude that they LIKE to envision him as an American Duce or Fuehrer.

I think he’s going to try and pull off a martial law election stoppage.

And that pose he does, arrogant chin in the air, eyes closed, is that when he is listening to the voices in his head telling him how bitchin’ he is?
