If you read his book the running away thing is what his Master Chief told his men to do if they got in a bar fight. Avoids a lot of paperwork and headaches that occur if you’re arrested. Also, in his book, he explains that he’s very happy about putting down those “savages” that he killed.

Shooting ragheads from a sniper’s distance sends a thrill up my leg. Hope most of those 150 confirmed kills were head shots. Our tax money…very well spent.
