A Word From The Boss

I don’t prescreen posts from the authors at Wizbang. Sometimes things are posted that I disagree with, sometimes things are posted that I would never write. I do not tell our authors what they can and cannot write about. That’s one of our selling points to authors. Every once in a while it gets the site in trouble. Occasionally an author makes a post so obviously over the top to make some point – such that they believe no one could mistake it for genuine sentiment – that does nothing but offend everyone.

That happened here today. Hiding what happened seems disingenuous, so I instructed the author to clean up the text of the post and own it. Of course that doesn’t undo the damage already done.

I apologize to our readers and to Charles Blow for the now deleted original post.
