    Matthews ought to be ashamed of himself, and the rest of his fellow “journalists” should similarly blush. It’s one thing to speak in such high terms of a person well-known to one’s self such as a family member, a good friend, or even a boss (I had tremendous respect for my sergeant major, for example), but I THOUGHT that there was supposed to be, if not cynicism, then at least a healthy objectivity between media people and the people they cover.

    Just this past weekend, Howard Kurtz meekly suggest that there MIGHT be some teensy-tiny appearance of favoritism toward Barry in MiniTru, and this COULD be affecting the public’s perception that MiniTru has (dare it be suggested?) a bias towards Barry in the presidential race.

            When the IRS won’t even guarantee their answers when called for tax advice to be legally binding, the thought of just opening up prior returns to casual (well, kind of) examination is ludicrous.

            Look at Bush’s ANG transcripts for example. I guarantee you that THOSE and their proper (by regulation and custom) interpretation are the equivalent of a third-grader’s addition and subtraction worksheet as opposed to a Master’s level Calculus course for the sorts of IRS returns we’d be talking about… and the folks critiquing them couldn’t be bothered to get any authoritative answers on THAT.

            A simple “The returns were submitted to the IRS. The IRS accepted them without any questions or audits” should be sufficient. It won’t be, of course – but it should be.

            So once again, it’s put up or shut up time.     I do not believe Barack Hussien 0bama is one of us. By one of us, I refer to the fact that Barry was raised in Indonesia and Hawaii in the 1960s. Those areas at the time were not middle-America.
