Olympic Beefcake of the Day – Behdad Salimi

One of the co-writers mentioned we should do something for our female Wizbangers and nobody knows more about what chicks dig than yours truly.  Ladies, feast your eyes upon super heavyweight weightlifter Behdad Salimi – Iran’s best hope for a medal heading into the 2012 London Olympics as reigning world’s champion.

Salimi won the world title on his first attempt in 2010 by lifting a total of 453-kg and retained his title in 2011 by lifting 464-kg.  When converted to a unit we understand in America that equals the combined mass of Rosie O’Donnell, Roseanne Barr, and Oprah.  Well, before brunch anyway.

The strongman set a new world record of 214-kg in the snatch lift breaking the previous record of 213-kg lifted by Iran’s Hossein Rezazadeh in 2003.

The 2012 Olympic Weightlifting will be held from July 28-August 7.  Tune in to see Behdad and the rest of the strongest men on Earth.
