Today Is Chick Fil-A Appreciation Day

Our family already has plans for dinner at Chick Fil-A. What about you?

If you’re planning on going you can show your support on the ISupportChickFilA.com Facebook page that Mike Huckabee is running and you can keep up with folks tweeting about it by searching for the #ChickfilaAppreciationDay hashtag.

I will eat there if I please …. or I will not eat there if I please. Marriage politics don’t affect my desire (or lack thereof) for a chicken sandwich.

“What’s the matter Colonel Sanders? Chicken?”

I see now your Schwartz is as big as mine. Lp

Agreed! This thing started out strange, and it has gotten ridiculous.

I did not eat lunch at Chick-fil-A today to protest …

the fact that there is no Chick-fil-A within walking distance of my office.

Stopped by my local Chik-fil-A on the way home (first time in months that I’ve eaten there). The drive-thru line was wrapped around the restaurant.

I note that Wendy’s has gotten mixed up in this mess as one of the largest franchise owners has a number of restaurants here in No. Carolina, and his stores were urging people to go to Chik-fil-A. Wendy’s corporate response has been somewhat maladroit: they took to Twitter to boast about being proud to serve ALL patrons.

Um… when has Chik-fil-A even hinted at being unwilling to serve anybody? Wendy’s ought to have simply shut up and let this thing play out. Instead, they’ve managed to make themselves look at best like morons who don’t grasp the issue and at worst like a bunch of pricks who are siding with Rahmbo, Menino, and the rest of the democrats.

At least the left is keeping it classy: Chick-fil-A in Martinsburg re-opens after bomb threat

As others have pointed out :I don’t think this can be interpreted as opposition to gay marriage, so much as a response to bullying. But I do think that the bullying has probably tainted the gay-marriage brand.

The left can’t help but resort to fascist bullying when they don’t get their way. They don’t believe in democracy. (of course maybe that’s because gay marriage is 0 for 32 in states where they have put it to the vote. When democracy doesn’t work you shove it down their throats and order them to thank you for it)

Actually, it ought to be called Chick Fil A Appreciate Intolerance Day.

Your intolerance is noted, but not appreciated.

      • Irish_Mist

To the contrary – I do tolerate the right’s intolerance. That’s what makes America great.

        • http://opinion.ak4mc.us/ Scribe of Slog (McGehee)

And whom is the right trying to slander out of business for the mere crime of disagreement?

Sorry, but your usage of “intolerance” is false and clearly malicious.

          • Irish_Mist

Malicious it isn’t, accurate it is.

          • http://opinion.ak4mc.us/ Scribe of Slog (McGehee)

            Keep lying.

          • Irish_Mist

If you think the religious Christian right isn’t intolerant of people who have different moral or religious views you drink the Kool-Aid in excess.

            You conflate tolerance and acceptance.

          • jim_m

Here is Gay Patriot showing how tolerant the staff and clientele at Chick-fil-a were.

Here is Mr Adam M. Smith showing how hate filled and intolerant the left is.

            It’s a pretty stark comparison.
