Obama That I Used To Know

Pass this Gotye ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ parody on to Obama supporters to remind them that the hope and change they were promised wasn’t what they got.

Best lines: “But the change that I got was that I moved in with my mother,” and “Sometimes I think Peace Prize winners shouldn’t have a kill list.”

That is funny. Sums up the con.

Con indeed! The lyrics sound like a “mark” crying out for help to the con-man that just fleeced him.

It wasn’t like they weren’t forewarned that The Chosen One had no track record, and that past practice was a pretty good indicator of future performance.

So far, Barry has lived down to my expectations.

“I need the Obama that I used to know” sounds pretty much like denial, the first of the seven stages of grief. After 3.5 years, trillions in new debt, 8.3% unemployment, more people on food stamps then ever before, a flat-lined economy… and the song writer is ONLY at the first stage of grief. Pathetic!
