Someone Has Finally Thrown Obama Under The Bus And Her Name Is Hillary Clinton

President Barack Obama, with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, delivers a statement in the Rose Garden of the White House, Sept. 12, 2012, regarding the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. (Official White House Photo by Lawrence Jackson)

What other conclusions can one draw from this from the AP?

WASHINGTON — The State Department said Tuesday it never concluded that the consulate attack in Libya stemmed from protests over an American-made video ridiculing Islam, raising further questions about why the Obama administration used that explanation for more than a week after assailants killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans.

The revelation came as new documents suggested internal disagreement over appropriate levels of security before the attack, which occurred on the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks on the U.S.

Briefing reporters ahead of a hotly anticipated congressional hearing Wednesday, State Department officials provided their most detailed rundown of how a peaceful day in Benghazi devolved into a sustained attack that involved multiple groups of men armed with weapons such as machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades and mortars over an expanse of more than a mile.

But asked about the administration’s initial — and since retracted — explanation linking the violence to protests over an anti-Muslim video circulating on the Internet, one official said, “That was not our conclusion.” He called it a question for “others” to answer, without specifying. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly on the matter, and provided no evidence that might suggest a case of spontaneous violence or angry protests that went too far.

Just as a reminder the Obama administration couldn’t get its story squared with the facts for well over a week. The Heritage Foundation put out this helpful video essay of the administration’s cover up on the assassination of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.

So… our ambassador and other Americans WEREN’T killed because of a YouTube video that was probably funded by Israel and certainly demonstrates that Americans hate Muslims???

My world! My world! YOU’VE SHATTERED MY WORLD!!!!

    • Commander_Chico_Cognoscente

The video did cause quite a few problems.

      • Jwb10001

So what? Are we to give up our 1st amendment rights cause something pisses off those that are always pissed off? Screw that. No one kills anyone when Jews or Christians or Buddist are mocked.

        • Commander_Chico_Cognoscente

The questions are, was the video a black psyop to stir trouble up for the USA in the Muslim world? Was it a foreign intelligence operation conducted within the USA?

Chico is not the only one who wonders. The former National Security Advisor Zbig Brezinzski does, too:

“There is some indication that there was a conspiracy involved here. The people who produced the film remain anonymous. Who paid for it? How was financed it? Why are they keeping quiet about it. What was the intent? Purely to amuse?”
He then speculates that there might be “evil forces at work trying to provoke violence between us” and the Muslim world.

          • Jwb10001

Oh it was probably the evil banks that did it, maybe some of our corporate overlords… Oh I know it was probably Gary Johnson trying to figure out a way to relevant.

          • jim_m

Your citation for credibility is Jimmy Carter’s National Security adviser? The man who helped Carter produce one of the biggest foreign policy failures in the 20th century?

            Wow! Just… wow.

Plus there is no indication apart from his ignorant speculations. Why not just come out with it and say what you really mean: You think that the Jews did it. That’s what you have said previously.

          • Jwb10001

Chico always comes out swinging at Jews and Catholics, raving lunitics of the religion of peace not so much, he would much rather throw the 1st Amendment under the bus.

          • Commander_Chico_Cognoscente

“Wow, just wow” is so feminine.

I don’t know who did it. It could be the Iranians in a reverse black psyop. But my main bet would be on the Israelis.

The point is, it is shady as hell.

          • jim_m

I don’t have problems with my masculinity. I’m sorry if my responses threaten yours.

My point is that it was just a stupid video. You see an opportunity to blame the Jews. You need help.

          • Jwb10001

I think that’s a bunch of paranoid BS but even if it’s not the always outraged mobs did their part and reacted in a typcial and predictable fashion. It really doesn’t take a covert government black ops operation to get this result all you need to do is draw a cartoon. I’m beginning to think you’re unserious.

          • Rdmurphy42

            It was the evil JOOOOOOOOS!!!!

            Right, Chico?

          • herddog505

Absolutely. See, here’s how we know it was them:

Classic Joooo… er… Israeli operation. When there’s no evidence that they did something, that’s a SURE sign that they did.

          • 914

I suppose the same evil forces that were behind 911 right? The video had nothing to do with Benghazi or the violent Arab spring uprising.. Better replace that broken Obama record. No one is listening to the lie anymore.

      • Hank_M

The only problem the video caused was that it was used to lie to the American people.

Really, who even heard of the damn thing before the chickenhawk Obama and his administration tried to use it as an excuse?

        • Commander_Chico_Cognoscente

What the heck, there were mobs that attacked the embassies in Khartoum, Cairo, Tunis and Sanaa protesting the video.

Guess you all missed that news.

          • jim_m

The subject was Benghazi. I guess you missed that news.

          • Jwb10001

Again so what Chico? What are you suggesting? Do we give in to the barbarians? Have you no criticism for the people that act out violently ove stupid videos about their religion? Would you take the same approach if we were talking about an abortion bomber? Our 1st amendment is being held hostage by a bunch of religious nuts that resort to violence everytime someone looks crosseyed at them.

          • 914

Hmmm? Did they by any chance happen to be muslim mobs? Why don’t they get a job and do something constructive for once. Seems all they do is riot, abuse and destroy.

          • donwalk

All of them occurred AFTER B.O. and his inept minions started their advertising campaign of the video – not before?

          • cabensg

Exactly. Obama and Shrill gave them a reason to go for it.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, every city in every country needs to start burning Korans daily for the next year. Let the mobs try to keep up with that. It’s called desensitization training.

          • Olsoljer

Guess you missed it was 911.

          • ali3nation

Did you happen to see all the people dancing in the streets all over the world when the buildings fell on 9/11/01 ?

          • ali3nation

You are commander of the schiit brigade, Chico ( little one ).

          • cabensg

I no miss news Chico. I see Obama and Hillery do big apology on TV. Big apology incite riots. Libya say good no more free speech in America. Obama say, I think about it.

      • Vagabond661

The video came out in June. Where was the unrest from June to Sept 11?

        • ali3nation

Thats the ticket. And what was the Ambassador doing in Benghazi on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11, with al-quaida all around and lax security courtesy of the Obungler administrations dept. of state.

      • jim_m

There is not a single meme the obama campaign puts out that chica does not support and defend. Even after the obama admin abandons the pretense that the video caused the attack in Benghazi ( they recently admitted that there were no protests outside the consulate before the assault) chica continues defending the bogus meme. He’s a good little ideologue. Look up useful idiot in the dictionary and you’ll find his Disqus profile.

      • herddog505

Did it? We were told – REPEATEDLY – that it “caused” the attack on the Benghazi consulate and the resulting deaths of four Americans. Now we learn that it apparently did no such thing.

I suggest that the video has been used by people who were either intent on causing trouble (i.e. AQ) or in covering up their own feckless incompetence (i.e. Barry and his gang). The video no more “caused” what happened in Benghazi than the White Album caused the Tate-LoBianca murders.

      • Only to the vestiges of your credibility.

        • jim_m

      • Santos Gonzalez

If you had been paying attention you would note, that after President Obama begged, the Egyptian president to stop the protests, the next day they did. The only reason the protest were as they were is because the local governments allowed them to continue, as they knew that there would not be any consequences from us. The world sees us as weak, and that will bow to their demands if pressured.

      • LiberalNightmare

        >>The video did cause quite a few problems.

        For Obama.

      • cabensg

Yes it did. After Obama and Hillery went out an told the world it was the cause of the attack on the Embassy and APOLOGIZED for it.

      • cabensg

It sure did. Especially when Obama and Shrill started out by telling everyone the attack was because of a video. The other attacks then started blaming the video. We have fricking idiots running the presidency and State department.

    • Jwb10001

You know a president that didn’t want to cater to the far left might have taken this opportunity to say something like…. We have a 1st Amendment in our country that tolerates speech, even speech we don’t like, this video shows our tolerance, the reaction to it shows the hate. We love freedom we don’t hate Muslims.

      • herddog505

It shows how far the “left” has gone that catering to them involves eschewing the First Amendment.

Remember how the libs went into a frenzy over the Patriot Act and Bush’s statement that “you’re either with us or you’re with the terrorists”? And how all these things had a “chilling effect” on free speech?

Where’s their devotion to free speech now?

        • jim_m

The left was never devoted to free speech. They are only devoted to their speech and they have no interested in protecting the rights of anyone else. Primarily because they see rights as coming from the government and not being an inherent part of being human.

There are no rights except what they allow, there is no right or wrong except what the government defines and that changes depending upon who you are and what group you belong to.

        • ali3nation

I think the Bush rationale being you are either with us or with the terrorists ( enemy) still stands today. Whose side are you on anyway? The battle lines are clearly drawn in this aspect.

  • Commander_Chico_Cognoscente

More like Hillary threw Susan Rice under the bus. Could not have happened to a nicer shrew.

    • Jwb10001

I forget again who does Susan Rice work for? Is there anything you’ll lay at Obama’s feet? Or will you insist this started under Bush?

      • Commander_Chico_Cognoscente

Hillary is sticking the shiv into Susan Rice’s chances of taking over SECSTATE.

        • Jwb10001

You can make up more bull shit than anyone I’ve ever met.

  • Wild_Willie

There is something terribly smelly about this. And as always, it is the cover up that gets you. And there is no doubt there is one. This video was totally useless and thanks to Obama and his team, he made it viral. What a putz. ww

    • ali3nation

Still unanswered, not even asked, why would Amb. Stevens go to or be sent to Benghazi, when security was inadequate and on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11. Therein lie the real answers to why there would be a coverup at all.

    • Jerry

The eleventh anniversary of 9-11, 9-11 being the cover-up of all time, this seems appropriate.

  • GarandFan

“He called it a question for “others” to answer, without specifying.”

Well there you have it! Someone by the name of “others” is responsible for all the lying! Same person responsible for Solyndra, Fast and Furious……….

I bet Barry cannot hardly wait to clear this up at the next debate.

That is unless something come’s up and he cannot attend. Like an Embassy being attacked by terrorists in which case he will have to cancel and fly too Vegas for an early tee time ..

  • Americaphile Freedom

But make no bones about it, there will be no tears shed in
the Clinton household if Obama comes a cropper and fails to win

In the ever-evolving political landscape, which the Clinton’s
inherit, an Obama loss gives them the better opportunity to have
Hillary back in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue by 2016.

  • 914

Must be like Deja vu for Hillary.. Lying and covering for a President who is a serial liar all over again!

    • cabensg

Good one!! I’ll bet she never thought she and Bill would become second rate liars.

  • SteveCrickmore075

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) acknowledged on Wednesday that House Republicans had consciously voted to reduce the funds allocated to the State Department for embassy security since winning the majority in 2010..”And we’re talking about can we get two dozen or so people into Libya to help protect our forces. When you’re in touch economic times, you have to make difficult choices. You have to prioritize things.”
For the past two years, House Republicans have continued to deprioritize the security forces protecting State Department personnel around the world.
(Now their priority is blaming Obama and the State Department for not having enough security). In fiscal year 2011, lawmakers shaved $128 million off of the administration’s request for embassy security funding. House Republicans drained off even more funds in fiscal year 2012 — cutting back on the department’s request by $331 million.
This certainly sounds like GOP tactics, whingeing after the event, they helped enable!

    • jim_m

Wow. You mean that in the billions of dollars that the state department gets it could not find any to shift to fund the small number of security personnel that were being requested for Benghazi?

From the State Depts 2010 budget

The FY 2010 budget request for all Department of State appropriations totals $16.389 billion, an increase of $1.885 billion over the FY 2009 estimate of $14.504 billion (which includes appropriations enacted to date and the FY 2009 supplemental request).

So we see here that they are getting $16 freaking billion! We also see that they get supplemental appropriations.

Sorry Steve. I’m not buying the blame shifting. This is owned by obama and obama alone.

      • Jwb10001

It’s amazing to me how anyone can blame house republicans for anything budget related since no budget has gotten through the democrat controlled senate in how many years now 4 or 5 or something on that order. House republicans can propose all sorts of things but they don’t go very far once they hit Harry Reid’s office.

    • 914

It’s all falling apart for Barry. He’s history in 28 day’s and the rats are bailing ship.

      • Bailing ship would be trying to save the ship, they are abandoning ship.

        • 914

Semantics.. The ship has already sunk so I guess the rats are swimming for their live’s.

    • Jwb10001

And this caused the administration to lie for over a week about the cause of the terroist attack? Nice try Steve, but as is pointed out State gets lots of money. Sometimes you have to prioritize doesn’t look to me like State has done a very good job of that.
So did you give Bush a pass on anything after the dems took over in congress in 2006… no, I didn’t think so.

      • SteveCrickmore075

Maybe the fact that one of the two compounds in Benghazi, under assault was a secret CIA base contributed to all the confusion and cover story. Of course now that the Republican reps, like Issa and company, in their usual roles, as keystone cops ‘Letting us in on a secret‘ this, in a televised hearing hasn’t helped. Anything to score political points, even if it means divulging national security secrets!

        • herddog505

You mean like the classified documents that were just laying around the ruins of consulate for days before the FBI finally got to the scene?

Hint: you’re in a hole. Stop digging. I appreciate that you, Dana Millbank, and the rest of Barry’s shills are desperate to shift the blame for this debacle, the more so because they’ve been caught lying about it, but trying to blame the House GOP makes about as much sense as blaming the NRA.

        • ali3nation

The real national secret still being kept under wraps is why was Stevens in Benghazi on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 with substandard security. Unless he was suicidal, none of it makes sense with what we know so far.

    • herddog505

      This is timely:

Was the refusal to provide more security caused by budget cuts to embassy security? “No, sir,” Charlene Lamb, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Programs, told the committee.

Lamb said that the State Department was right not to grant Nordstrom’s request for more security. “We had the correct number of assets in Benghazi on the night of 9/11,” Lamb said, per The Cable, citing the Libyan security personnel.

Now, I’m sure that the dems will continue to flog the idea that – somehow – it’s the GOP’s fault that the State Dept. couldn’t be bothered to beef up security in Benghazi, but now State is on record saying that they DIDN’T have a money / resource problem at all: everything was just rosy. They, of course, had NO IDEA that Libyans, outraged over a movie, would spontaneously… no, check that… um… that terrorists would use the cover of a demonstra—… no, no, not that, either… uh… that things would go badly.

      • SteveCrickmore075

It appears now after Wednesday’s special hearing, called by the Republicans, that the Benghazi operation was run by the CIA, and this is why the State Department had to defer to their security decisions.

“The Republican lawmakers in their outbursts, alternated between scolding the State Department officials for hiding behind classified material and blaming them for disclosing information that should have been classified. But the lawmakers created the situation by ordering a public hearing on a matter that belonged behind closed doors.

Republicans were aiming to embarrass the Obama administration over State Department security lapses. But they inadvertently caused a different picture to emerge than the one that has been publicly known: that the victims may have been let down not by the State Department but by the CIA”.

if wizbang and the Republicans are consistent they will be asking for
the Director of the CIA ,David Petraeus’ resignation. Fat chance!

        • herddog505

Riiiiight. Yep, the US consulate in Benghazi was ACTUALLY a sooper-sekrit CIA station that the ambassador just happened to be visiting. State wanted – pinky swearz! – to upgrade the security, but – dang it! – CIA, in cahoots with Darrel Issa, just wouldn’t let them. Charlene Lamb is bravely falling on her sword to cover for them when she claims that “[State] had the correct number of assets in Benghazi on the night of 9/11”.

Honestly, do you ever stop to think about what you write? Cribbing from Dana Millbank adds no credibility, either.

          • Jwb10001

Steve will just continue to pull out each new talking point as the administration thinks them up. The fact is there are 4 dead Americans on Obama’s watch and they have zero good answers for why. Not only do they have zero good answers they’ve tried to sell the public 4 or 5 different bad answers, that Steve buys all of them says quiet a lot about Steve I think.

    • ali3nation

But heaven forbid the big bad republicans tried to bring down big bird. Do you see my right hand with its middle finger extended? That is my big bird to you.

I wonder if it isn’t Hilary throwing Obama under the bus, so much as it is this man, or person’s, in the State Department throwing them both under the bus. This whole debacle is appalling, and you have to wonder how many within the department are finding themselves disgusted in the blatant lie & spin in the face of the truth they themselves are aware of. Not to mention the insult to their integrity.
