National Review’s Michael Mann Ad

Just read it.

Hat tip to Anthony Watts of the blog Watts Up With That?, who received a hat tip from reader Frank K.

The advertisement appears on page 7 of the 10/31/12 issue of The Daily Collegian, a campus newspaper published by students of Penn State University.

UPDATE: Here is an excerpt from a statement released by the IPCC:

Statement about the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize

The IPCC was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for its work on climate change, together with former US Vice-‐President Al Gore. . .

. . . The prize was awarded to the IPCC as an organization, and not to any individual associated with the IPCC. Thus it is incorrect to refer to any IPCC official, or scientist who worked on IPCC reports, as a Nobel laureate or Nobel Prize winner.

I don’t care, Heat and Manhunter were great movies.

    • Brucehenry

Don’t forget 1992’s Last Of the Mohicans with Daniel Day-Lewis and the exquisite Madeleine Stowe.

      • Commander_Chico_Cognoscente

Yes, that one, and Miami Vice, too. Public Enemy, not so much.

    • Manhunter is an under-appreciated classic.

      • Commander_Chico_Cognoscente

        Absolutely. William Peterson’s best performance.

  • jim_m

Shocker! A warmist “scientist” whose work has already been shown to be a fraud, is now lying to the public and to the court about winning a Nobel Prize. If this idiot said it was raining out I’d look out the widow before believing him.

  • Brian_R_Allen

Bet the also-peer-supported Jerry Sandusky of Climate-gate’s feeling secure in the knowledge his every-bit-as-corrupt Penn State’s colleague’s minder, Graham Spanier, has just been perp walked.

How long, one wonders, until Mr Mann and the rest of his Climate-Gate Gang are similarly afforded the dignity of the consequences of their depredations?

  • Tim McFall

Hmmmm, let’s see now where have I heard of someone of inflating their own data to arrive at an outrageous outcome. It’s on the tip of my tongue. Quit shoving that hockey stick at me, yes I know its for playing hockey. Just help me figure out where I heard this same thing before about Dr. Mann. It will come to me….

  • GarandFan

    Another ‘alternate reality’.

  • jim_m

Hey, the guy is stupid enough to believe in warmism, I’ll willing to believe that he really does think that he won the Nobel Prize.

  • Carl

    Howa Baby – November bombshell.

    • Sky__Captain

Actually, it a quite a bombshell, as Mr. Mann is using this as the main part of his lawsuit against National Review (and others).

I would not expect Carl to be critical of a confirmed liar, however, since he supports a confirmed liar for President.

      • Carl

Too bad you guys can’t find any reasons to support Romney.

Hating Obama isn’t enough. You have to have a candidate who is a better choice.

If you think Romney is a better choice than Obama you should have spent some of the last 6 months supporting that choice, instead of just spewing a hatred for Obama.

You didn’t give Obama any opposition.

        WOA Bombshell, baby.

        • Sky__Captain

Considering what a SCOAMF your hero has been, Jimmy Carter could beat him.

And I do not hate your hero, either. I hate his policies and the results thereof.
I take offense to your statement that I hate 0bama, and expect an immediate retraction and apology of your statement.

        • 914

ABO is reason enough by ten.

  • herddog505

Lefties and gorebots like to drivel about “deniers” being “in the pay of Big Oil” and make out that, in contrast, THEIR guys have no motives at all other than a devotion to Science and Saving The Planet.

Well, here’s your motive, guys: vanity. Wave a Nobel (or even getting published) in front of some people and they’d write a scientific article that the stork brought them into this world.

  • MunDane68

Heh…Rigoberta Menchu was a fraud too. That is Boss Level irony, right there.
