This is why liberals have no credibility whatsoever.

  • 914

He’s at least as qualified as Barack was for a Nobel.

    • http://www.outsidethebeltway.com rodney dill

      Exactly

  • herddog505

Not that I think that there aren’t better fathers out there (dare I suggest that George Bush is a good father? Or Mitt Romney?), I have no reason to think that Slick doesn’t love and cherish his daughter. Yes, he’s a whore-chasing son of a b*tch with dubious taste and unquestionably bad morals, but if one takes a (very) narrow view of what it means to be a good father, there’s no reason to think that he ISN’T one.

Wait, did I just write that?

I don’t have children (the world rejoices), but I like to think that any child of mine wouldn’t have to blush for my behavior as Chelsea must for his.

Unless she buys into the idea that he wasn’t REALLY cheating on her mother.

  • 914

The Father of Lewinski’s for sure..

  • http://www.wizbangblog.com David Robertson

Just a meaningless honor from a meaningless “Council”.

  • jim_m

Maybe we are just being too harsh. After all, how many children has Bill fathered in the last year?

  • http://www.outsidethebeltway.com rodney dill

They might have just as well named him, “2013 Astronaut of the Year.”

    • jim_m

      He’s certainly exploring heavenly bodies…

      • http://www.outsidethebeltway.com rodney dill

,but they won’t hold it against him.

    • john53

No he can’t talk the hookers into going into space with him, but a quickie during intermission at the “Who’s Your Daddy Awards” very possible.
Hillery won’t know (she is still laughing to hard)and his daughter (MSNBC’s Ms. “Boring 2012″) won’t tell.

  • http://www.outsidethebeltway.com rodney dill

    I think I figured it out… its a typeo
It’s supposed to be fathead, not father.

  • 914

Why does that blue dress seem so familiar??

    • MartinLandauCalrissian

      Ha, good one.

  • SteveCrickmore075

Let’s hope Clinton doesn’ t get carried away too much with the celebrations of this ‘honor’, this June when it is presented, and try and and surpass another Democrat politician not burdened with honesty or humility. John Edwards won the same father of the year award on June 7, 2006, eight months, twenty days before the birth of Rielle Hunter’s child.. (and his). Great timing!

    • 914

      John boy Edwards? lol

    • http://www.rustedsky.net JLawson

      So, it’s a fertility indicator?

  • Hank_M

Sometimes I think I’m living in an alternate universe.

But, if Bill is really going to be the Father of the year, then they should also give him an Oscar for that performance.

Wonder what Webb Hubbell is thinking?

  • Wild_Willie

How can someone who has no kids at home or recently left home to start a life be awarded this? ww

    • herddog505

It’s how the left operates: they, their “superstars” and their causes are always portrayed, even in the most casual or supposedly non-political venues, as “good”, while us nasty ol’ reichwing Rethuglikkkans and our causes are always portrayed as wicked and malevolent. I suggest that giving Slick an award for something considered as a virtue is part ‘n’ parcel with the Hillary movie that’s being bruited about: the left is getting ready for ’16, so they are blowing the dust off the Clinton legend of the brilliant, warm, compassionate, thoughtful couple, the people we NEED in the White House.

They’ve done the same with Barry, from his Nobel (what a joke that was) to fawning over Moochelle’s dresses.

[T]he pigs liked to invent for him such titles as Father of All Animals,
Terror of Mankind, Protector of the Sheep-fold, Ducklings’ Friend, and the
like. In his speeches, Squealer would talk with the tears rolling down his
cheeks of Napoleon’s wisdom the goodness of his heart, and the deep love
he bore to all animals everywhere, even and especially the unhappy animals
who still lived in ignorance and slavery on other farms. It had become
usual to give Napoleon the credit for every successful achievement and
every stroke of good fortune. You would often hear one hen remark to
another, “Under the guidance of our Leader, Comrade Napoleon, I have laid
five eggs in six days”; or two cows, enjoying a drink at the pool, would
exclaim, “Thanks to the leadership of Comrade Napoleon, how excellent this
      water tastes!”

Bubba: alpha male. The lesser shall envy.

    • herddog505

I may envy his (ahem) success, but I certainly don’t hold it up for honor.

    • 914

      My condolences.

    • herddog505

I’ve thought a bit more about this. Is he REALLY? Or is he a slick, fast-talking huckster who’ll make a run at anything in a skirt and gets notoriously lucky (yes, we are all consumed – CONSUMED, I say – with envy of him over Hillary and Monica)? Put it this way: would he be, without his title, the “alpha male” in the company of other men? In an infantry platoon, a construction crew, a workshop, a locker room or anywhere else where there’s a bit less emphasis on bonhomie and a plausible manner and a bit more on grit and hard work? Would you (and women, for that matter) think him an alpha male if you hadn’t been TOLD repeatedly that he is?

I’ve heard that he’s really a personable man and possessed of a real magnetic personality. Perhaps he WOULD be the alpha male, admired by men and desired by women, in almost any situation or society. Or perhaps he’d be tolerated as a fun guy to be around even if he is a goldbrick and a little bit shady.

Anyway, if I’m going to admire a man and deem him an alpha for his conquests, I’ll take Jack Kennedy, who really WAS a mensch.

      • Conservachef

All of that discussion is interesting, but none of it really screams “great father” material does it?

Not trying to knock on the “alpha male” discussion, I just think it proves that in reality, Clinton isn’t “Father of the year” material.

        • herddog505

          Yep.

On the subject of “good” fathers, I wonder if you saw the link in the sidebar to a story about Brian Williams showing up at the set of “Girls” when his daughter is doing sex scenes.

          C-R-E-E-P-Y

DUNHAM: Yeah, we had our premiere last night and we always make jokes about how when there’s a sex scene with Allison we want to have like a BriWi-cam, like just like a camera on his face where we can register it all.

          http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2013/01/11/letterman-discusses-brian-williams-daughters-sex-scenes-girls-star-le

I guess lefties just have different… um… attitudes about parenthood and morality generally than the rest of us.

          • Commander_Chico

Not to mention it’s another example of hereditary privilege. Half of the TV news biz and Hollywood seems to be someone’s kid.

        • Commander_Chico

Yeah, the fact that Bubba really isn’t “Father of the Year” material just says Alpha all the more.

It’s when your charisma carries you through everything and everyone wants to kiss your ass.

  • Conservachef

Part of being a father is setting an example of how a man treats women, especially his wife. Infidelity is still considered a bad thing (as it should be, in my opinion), for a number of reasons- honesty, trust, and commitment spring to mind.

Otherwise, I agree with Wild_Willie- Chelsea is a grown woman- how long has it been since Bubba actually had to act in a fatherly role?

  • JWH

All I an cay is “Who’s your daddy?”

  • Commander_Chico

Bubba’s 6’2″ I think, so that chick on the left is really tall

    • 914

      I’m not so sure that’s a chick?

      • Commander_Chico

You wish you could have her. Hell, I do.
