George Zimmerman’s Brother Better on Race Than Obama

Robert Zimmerman Jr., George Zimmerman’s brother, was not amused by President Barack Obama’s comments on the “not guilty” verdict in his brother’s trial. Robert feels that Obama didn’t learn a thing from the whole ordeal.

“We are where we are today,” Zimmerman said on Fox News. “And no matter what your opinion of the verdict is, there have to be things that bring us together, there have to be teachable moments that we learn from what happened here.”

Zimmerman said he was glad that the President was talking about “encouraging African-American youth,” but wondered why Obama wasn’t encouraging youth of all races.

“I think mentoring children of all colors is one of the ways that we break the cycle, and I would just add to what the president had to say that sometimes the right encouragement and the right role models and kind of the right shoulder to lean on in life can prevent any kind of engagement with law enforcement and the criminal justice system whatsoever,” he continued. “So I think he made some good points about training law enforcement…and he also asked for some soul searching.”

In fact, Robert sounded more statesman-like than Obama ever could. When it came to Obama’s blather of how it may have been different if Trayvon Martin wasn’t black, Robert Zimmerman went more philosophical.

“We can have a better country if we all do our part in helping out youth any way that we can,” he said.

When asked if he was worried that Obama’s Department of In-Justice was going to go after his brother–who, it should be pointed out has been totally exonerated–Robert said he was worried about the moitvations of the Obama administration.

“I’m a little bit concerned sometimes that our leaders are responding to pressure. I think, you know, that clear leadership in terms of respecting the rule of law is something that’s called for now,” he said.

Ya think, Robert? The obvious fact is the only reason that Attny Gen. Eric Holder is making noise about indicting George Zimmerman on faux “civil rights” charges is to satisfy racebaiters like Al $harpton and Je$$e Jack$on.

There is no other reason.

“Better on race than obama”… Faint praise indeed.

      Not a high bar there.

I saw Robert Zimmerman Jr. a day or two after the verdict on some unwatchable CNN show called ‘New Day.”

This kid was soft-spoken, intellectual, intelligent, and logical.

And he completely eviscerated the two kumquats interviewing him, especially some boob named Chris Cuomo, who kept trying to get Zimmerman to answer some specious ‘gotcha’ bullshit.

I tried to find the video on the ‘New Day’ site, but, of course it was missing. Can’t understand why..

Very well spoken and calm young man. He carefully makes his point and doesn’t take the bait when irresponsible reporters try to get a sound bite. ww

I thinks its clear to everyone that Trayvon didn’t get shot because he was black … he got shot because he was a thug …

Only to those who actually followed the facts of the case, which group does not include our usual suspects.

If not “clear to everyone,” it was certainly clear to the six jurors who voted “Not Guilty.”
