A Planned ‘Million Muslim March’ Set for Sept. 11, 2013

In an effort to stick their finger in America’s eye, a Muslim group is planning a “million Muslim march” on the very day their cohorts murdered over 3,000 Americans in 2001. This is called gall.

The march is being planned by the American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC) and is to be held on September 11, 2013 in Washington D.C. The march is meant to “demand that our civil rights be protected by our government.”

To say their rights haven’t been protected is, of course, an absurd claim. Muslims in the USA are not being systematically denied their “civil rights.” Any claims that Muslims are being oppressed in the U.S. is a laughable fiction.

On its website, the group is “demanding” that Obama bow to their wishes.

“We are demanding that laws be enacted protecting our 1st amendment,” AMPAC says. “We are asking President Obama to fulfill his promise from his first campaign for Presidency of a transparent government. Lastly we are asking for the release of the 9/11 commission report to the American people.”

What the group says next is as if something from the Onion:

On 9.11.01 our country was forever changed by the horrific events in New York. The entire country was victimized by the acts done on that day. Muslim and Non Muslim alike were traumatized but we as Muslims continue 12 years later to be victimized by being made the villains. To this day every media outlet and anti Islamic organization has committed slanderous and libel statements against us as Muslims and our religion of Islam.

Yet our Government either sits idly by and does nothing to protect our freedoms or it exacerbates the problem with its constant war on terrorism in Islamic countries, congressional hearings on Islam in America, and its changes to the NDAA law.

This is like the criminal who after being arrested for murder is upset at being called a murderer.

First of all, the U.S. media has bent over backwards not to do what Muslims abroad do and treat them as an evil that needs to be eliminated from the face of the earth. Most U.S. media outlets won’t use the word “terrorism,” refuse to call Islamists what they are, and won’t characterize their terrorism as evil in any way. So, for this group to claim that the media has “libeled” them is simply a false statement.

Muslims have not been victimized in the USA nor were they “traumatized” by the terror created on 9/11/01. In fact, around the world Muslims are quite supportive of Islamic terror and the goals terrorists want to achieve if not the means they use to achieve them.

Further, FBI hate crime stats reveal that very few Muslims have been hit with crime or abuse in this country in the years after 9/11/01. As a point of truth, it is Jews that still face a much, much higher rate of racist/anti-religious crimes.

Now, are there some Americans who hate Muslims? In a nation of over 300 million, of course you can find a few. But is there systematic oppression of Muslims and are they being denied civil rights? Not in the least. They are as free as anyone. Maybe more so.

Yeah, the muslims need protection. Riiiiiight. While it is true that anti muslim incidents increased after 9/11 anti-Semitic incidents have increase by a greater number and have remained higher. But by all means let’s hear the left castigate our society over yet another bogus cult of victimhood while they ignore the crimes against the Joooos that they hate so much.

    • Commander_Chico

Yes, “anti-Semitic incidents,” including mild criticism of the government of Israel.

      • The_Weege_99

No, chickagirl, more like murders, vandalism, assaults, etc.
        Grow the f up.

      • jim_m

As Weege says, I was referring to acts of vandalism and violence which actually have increased and your comment is merely an attempt to minimize the truth of that.

  • Brucehenry

While it is true that post 9/11 crazy people like Pam Geller and Frank Gaffney have gained vastly more prominence than they would have had it never occurred, I’ve got to – gasp – agree with Warner here that these claims, by this group I’ve never heard of before, are ridiculous.

There’s no government persecution or failure to protect the rights of Muslims. And most people, in the media and in everyday life, go out of their way to be sensitive to the sensibilities of Muslims.

Here at Wizbang, where we occasionally hear some over-the-top ignorance like somebody’s oft-repeated “Islam is a cancer on humanity” line, there’s only one super-crazy Islamophobic nutjob that routinely shows up – that “ljcarolyne” buffoon.

At least since Jay Tea left lol.

    • jim_m

The end of the world is Nigh. I mostly agree with Bruce.

      • Brucehenry

I’ll miss you when you get Raptured, Jim.

    • Retired military

I have never seen Ljcarolyne post. Doesn’t sound like I want too.
However, I have no recollection of Jay Tea ever belittle muslims as a whole.

      • Only bruce pays her any mind, since she fits his prejudiced views of what he believes the “right” to be.

    • Commander_Chico

These AMPAC guys are dumbasses. It’s so stupid to have a march on 9/11, AMPAC might even be a government front group, to better enable them to violate every American’s civil rights extensively and intensively.

The USA is killing a lot of Muslims abroad, though. For example, quite a few wedding parties have been delivered 500 lbs of HE. Whoops! Sorry! Sorry about SSG Bales! Sorry about Blackwater!

I don’t know why Muslims are so pissed off, I’m sure if you added all the innocent deaths up, it’s under 100,000.

      • RandoBrando

There is nothing wrong with killing a Muslim. They are automatically deemed a terrorist. If you follow the Quran you are a terrorist. All Muslims follow the Quran therefore all Muslims must die.

        • Tanner

Fair enough. Because if you don’t follow the Quran, then you’re an infidel of whom the Earth must be cleansed in the name of Allah and the Prophet.

Nidal. Malik. Hasan. negates these ampac idiots. Workplace violence? pfffft

And marching on sept 11th? Should Jimmy Dean Sausage sponsor Ramadan? At the end of Ramadan should Porky the Pig say “That’s all Folks”?

There’s a big international story still brewing involving Islam extremism. But, there’s finally a little good news from Zanzibar after that radical Islamic preacher was wounded in the shoulder in an escape attempt from arrest and is in custody in a hospital under armed guard to prevent his escape. This hate preacher was believed to have encouraged Muslim radicals in the resort area of Zanzibar to attack two beautiful 18 year old Jewish girls who were orphanage volunteers with corrosive acid, causing both girls horrible burns. Both girls are currently in a burn unit in London, undergoing treatment right now. – While Zanzibar is 97% Muslim, most are moderates who welcome tourists and others to their country, but a recent uptick in violence is being blamed by some Muslim extremists who are under the influence of some radical preachers. This photo was released by the parents of 18 year old Katie Gee showing some of the severe burns caused by this acid attack as a form of violent terror crime against Jews and Christians in Zanzibar, meant to scare Christians, Jews and tourists..

    • Commander_Chico

I bet our “friends” the Saudis are funding the extremists. This view of Islam was not common in East Africa 30 years ago.

For example, look at this: http://www.libertarianrepublican.net/2013/05/4-saudi-nationals-arrested-for-muslim.html

      • Paul Hooson

That seems very reasonable, Chico. Radical elements from Saudi Arabia seem intent in spreading Islamic revolution and Jihad to normally peaceful areas such as Tanzania and now Zanzibar. The terror attack on those two girls seemed like a high profile way to create a climate of fear to drive both tourists as well Christians out of Zanzibar, giving the radicals a worsening economic climate to exploit for their brand of extremism.

  • “Nice little country you’ve got there. Be a damn shame if anything were to happen to it. You might want to take out some insurance.”

  • Wild_Willie

I really hope they do march. We need to clear the air with them. Had they marched after 9/11 to show their support of America and to denounce terrorism, they would have been lauded but their silence is very telling to me. They are not victims. Not by a long shot. ww

    • Commander_Chico

Many Muslims have worked in the military and intelligence services since 9/11. They brought the language and cultural skills. Did you know the CIA’s counterterrorist chief from 2006 – this year was a Muslim?

      • Vagabond661

        So was Nidal. Malik. Hasan.
Your point? or better yet your point in relation to Muslims denouncing the the terroist attack on 9/11?

        • Commander_Chico

I think Hasan’s actions have more to do with him being a psychiatrist than being a Muslim. All shrinks are nuts.

Anyways, there have been hundreds, maybe more of US Muslims and tens of thousands of foreign Muslims working for the USA in these wars.

          • Remind us, oh soi disant cognoscenti and veteran, of all the other psychiatrists (who are not sons of the false prophet) who have shot job lots of their fellows…

          • Vagabond661

Most shrinks don’t yell “Allahu Akbar” while shooting their co-workers.
And again you dodged the WW’s point about the Muslims marching after 9/11 to show their support and denounce terrorism.

          • I’m starting to think there’s something in Islam that can really tap into a tendency for aggressive paranoia…

          • Commander_Chico

More like Arab tribal culture. Like that scene in the desert in Lawrence of Arabia when the Omar Sharif character shoots the guy stealing water from his well dead.

The desert is a zero-sum game. Arabs often can’t understand win/win – only “I win – you lose.”

          • Huh.

I can understand biological imperatives – like you say, the desert is very zero-sum. But is it possible for an attitude like that to get so ingrained into a culture that it literally cannot get beyond it?

          • Ya think?

          • Well, every so often the ‘ol neurons cough, sputter, and push an idea out…

  • RandoBrando

Every Muslim will be shot dead that day.

    • Commander_Chico

      • And a little music to accompany him…

        • Commander_Chico

          I love that video!

      • RandoBrando

Well me and my militia are going there to bear arms against these terrorists. They will be shot and no one will protect them.

        • Commander_Chico

Which agency of the government do you work for? ATF? FBI? DHS?

          • Jeebus H. Christ. You look at his comments – the Stupid is STRONG in that one.

          • Brucehenry

And who is “liking’ his comments? Ask our soi disant “moderator.”

          • So? I don’t think I’ve seen LJCarolyne advocate shooting them. Unless you think that ‘liking’ = automatic complete agreement.

I’ve liked your stuff in the past. Somehow, I think we disagree on a fair bit. 😉

          • Brucehenry

OK, that’s a fair point. Forget I said anything.

          • A more forgettable commentor is difficult to imagine..

          • Probably the Department of Veterinary Inspections. Taking a break from manual inspection of the recesses of cow uteri.

  • So it’s OK to fuk goats, but the other sins are to be dealt with cutting off your head, hands, etc. What a corrupted gene pool. Incest is best, huh! Screwing little girls, is OK as well? Muslims are all insane as it gets, that sit in judgement of the world. This man uses Taqiyya, to the max, just like the Usurper.

  • emersonushc13

The event will be an Islamist rage-fest and the MSM won’t cover anything against the narrative.
