Religion of Peace: Muslims Throw Stones at Jews Visiting Temple Mount for Rosh Hashanah

The religion of peace is at it again, this time throwing stones at Jews visiting one of the most holy sites for three world religions. Jews arriving at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City as they begin preparations to celebrate Rosh Hashanah were attacked by Muslims looking to prevent them from worshipping.

Rosh Hashanah is one of Judaism’s most holy days and the Temple Mount one of its most holy sites, but once again Muslims gathered to physically harm anyone not Muslim.

The attacks on Jews rose to such a fracas that police were called to put an end to the brawling between the attacking Muslims and the defending Jews.

Police were preparing for a confrontation as the Jewish holy days begin after a Muslim Imam called for violence to prevent Jews from coming to worship.

Security forces were prepared for a riot as this incident follows renewed incitement by Islamic Movement leader Sheikh Raed Salah, who called for Muslims to physically prevent Jews from visiting the Temple Mount last week.

This so-called leader claimed that Jews praying at the Mount was a “danger.”

Jews have been prevented from visiting the temple mount because authorities fear violence from the peace-loving Muslims. It is a caving in to the violence and hate from Islam that should be stopped.

Yes, the religion of peace strikes again.

What’s with the masks? It appears stand your ground and shoot them down would work well there.

    • 914

Who voted me down?? Was it you B..ruceee?

  • LiberalNightmare

Its OK – they were moderate muslims.

You can tell because the rocks are thrown with a lack of conviction.

  • Paul Hooson

On the other hand, the new president of Iran, who claims to be something of a reformer, did use Twitter to offer Jews worldwide a message of peace and good wishes for Rosh Hashanah, which seemed sort of hopeful. And the Palestinian Authority do spend a fair amount of money each Christmas season to decorate Jerusalem for the Christian pilgrims who come to visit. – Muslim and Christian and Jewish relations remain a mixed bag. There’s always some bright and hopeful spots, along with other areas of outright conflict.

Look who’s never heard of تقية (taqiyya).

    • Commander_Chico

      Yes, the sharia expert speaks.

      • http://wizbangblog.com/author/rodney-graves/ Rodney G. Graves

I’ve never claimed, oh soi disant cognoscenti, to be an “expert on sharia.”

      • jim_m

Except, of course, that Taqiyya has nothing to do with Sharia law and is a completely separate religious/cultural tradition.

        • warnertoddhuston

A Taqiyyaria is where I get my Mexican food.

        • Commander_Chico

Yes, like practicing deception is not a common human thing.

          • jim_m

Other cultures consider it morally wrong rather than a moral obligation. There is a difference.

          • Commander_Chico

Yes, I bow to your extensive experience in the Muslim world. Deception is a moral imperative, that’s how the Burj Khalifa got built.

  • Teresa Morrisroe

Another side of this story is previously this week Israeli authorities made a decision to shut down the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron to muslim worshippers for two days (today&Friday) and open it only for jews in celebration of their holiday preventing muslims from praying on their holy Friday….

    • Commander_Chico

What??? There is no other side to the story. Israel is always right.

      • http://wizbangblog.com/author/rodney-graves/ Rodney G. Graves

That’s because they’re Joooooos. And that’s all you seem to care about.

        • Commander_Chico

You would if it wasn’t a joooo donkey.

          • Commander_Chico

You’re already on the wrong side of anti-Semitism by being against bombing Syria.

          • jim_m

Really? Tell us how not supporting Al Qaeda is anti-Semitic.

          • Commander_Chico
          • jim_m

Your AIPAC article states that they are in favor of action in Syria because they believe that failure to act would embolden Iran’s nuclear program. This is not an unreasonable conclusion, however, one might argue that 5 years of appeasement has done that already.

Nor does the article claim that the only reason to oppose action in Syria is antisemitism.

I suppose that you are making the claim to make some anti-Semitic point.

          • Commander_Chico

Just wait, anyone opposing bombing Syria will be tarred as a Nazi.

          • jim_m

anyone opposing bombing Syria will be tarred as a Nazi.

You really are desperate to find someone here that supports going into Syria. You really are desperate to find someone here that supports obama and thinks that he can bomb Syria without starting WWIII.

Go talk to your butt buddy Bruce. I am sure that he will fulfill all your wishes.

          • Commander_Chico

jim, how can you be going against the will of AIPAC? That means you’re an anti-Semite, too!

          • jim_m

AH, you see the difference is that while I agree with their goal (discouraging the regional hegemony of Iran) I disagree with the methods. In your case you disagree with the existence of Israel (and, well frankly, the existence of Jews) which is only part of what makes you an anti-Semite.

          • Commander_Chico

Well, let AIPAC be the judge of that. I think they will put you in the anti Semite camp.

          • jim_m

I think you should stop speaking for them. When they make a definitive statement then we can discuss it. I doubt that they will ever make any such a pronouncement. Until then you are the anti-Semite.

          • http://wizbangblog.com/author/rodney-graves/ Rodney G. Graves

The intersection of what the soi disant cognoscenti think and reality is a very small subset.

          • jim_m

I suspect that if anyone is going to start calling people Nazi’s for not bombing/invading Syria it will be the supporters of your lord and savior obama.

          • http://wizbangblog.com/author/rodney-graves/ Rodney G. Graves

Do show us where the Government of Israel has requested that the United States strike Syria.

We take the soi disant cognoscenti’s lack of response as an indication that he, as usual, has nothing…

          • warnertoddhuston

I am not sure about fellate of donkey but I like a good fellate of fish, but hold the tartar sauce.

The Ibrahimi Mosque, AKA the Cave of the Patriarchs for the other 6/7ths of the world, is a holy place for all three major religions.

Perhaps the muslims would not be excluded from this place if they weren’t bent on desecrating and destroying the holy objects of the other religions with whom they share this site. Muslims are nearly as intolerant as leftists.

Yeah, there is a lot more to the story. A lot that you are not wanting to discuss because it reveals muslims as intolerant, hateful, violent bigots.

    • jim_m

I think obama has always sided with our enemies.

      • 914

        Nice side bar..
