US Army Builds Fake American Town to Practice War on Americans

In Virginia, the U.S. Army has built an American city, replete with a church, a mosque, an embassy building, a bank and a working subway system, in order to practice assaulting American cities. Welcome to Obama’s America, folks.

The town took six years to complete, is built on a 300-acre plot of government-owned land in Virginia and cost taxpayers $96 million. It is designed to, “replicate complex operational environments and develop solutions.”

The “training” facility was completed and opened in January of this year and is operated by the U.S. Army’s Asymmetric Warfare Group.

Unveiling the new facility, Colonel John P. Petkosek, the commander of the group, said:

“This is the place where we can be creative, where we can come up with solutions for problems that we don’t even know we have yet,”

“This is where we’ll look at solutions for the future–material solutions and non-material solutions…anything from how you’re going to operate in a subterranean environment to how you dismount a Humvee to avoid an IED strike.”

“The things that we do here at this facility will have a direct and lasting impact on our entire army.”

Folks, this training facility has one purpose and one purpose only and that is to train American soldiers how to assault and take down an American town. This facility has been designed by Obama’s cohorts in order to train solders to kill YOU and ME in case we get the crazy idea that our government is no longer following the U.S. Constitution.

This facility is designed to keep people like Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Boehner and McConnell in power to lord over us and to train soldiers to kill us if we disagree.

Obama has, indeed, transformed America.

Yet more treason from our whole so called government.

  • jim_m

To be fair, the military has for decades built faux towns for urban warfare training.

Plus, if you want to train the military to conduct an assault on a US city, plastering the DC city logo all over everything they are attacking is probably the correct message.

  • Retired military

Ft Hood has a town like this.
With the amount of city fighting which soldiers now do this is something that should be done as far as training purposes. You cant practice security sweeps for a city environment out in some open field somewhere.
Firefighters practice in mock buildings as do the police force as well.
I respectfully disagree with Mr Huston as to the main reason for this city to be built but can see where someone may get the same idea nor do I totally rule it out as A motive just not the main motive.

  • Brucehenry

More crazy talk from Warner Todd “Chicken Little” Huston.

This time it’s hilarious, though, especially the emphatic “Folks, this training facility has one purpose and one purpose only…”

    Haw haw.

    • jim_m

Thanks for the admission of who you are. We know where your loyalties lie.

      • Brucehenry

World War Two trivia. Awesome catch, Jim. Of course you’re a lunatic, but that’s the best imaginary gotcha yet.

        • jim_m

Just needling you. If you’re ever tried for treason I promise to speak up and say the we should keep you hanging around.

          • Brucehenry

            What reason would that be?

          • jim_m

            a literal one.

          • Brucehenry

Oh did you not make a typo? I’m relieved.

          • jim_m

Just caught it. Curse that auto correct!

  • nericen

Because the Army would never try to defend American cities from an entrenched group of terrorists or other gun-toting militia…

    • Retired military

the possibility of either scenario you describe is so remote it is beyond comprehension. For one the police would be the first line of defense as the govt would have to suspend Pose cumitatus. The NG would be the next line and then if both those fail the army may be called in but the chances are more remote than winning the powerball.

      • jim_m

More remote yet is the likelihood that you could command the military to attack US civilian targets. I don’t see that happening without a rebellion in the ranks.

        • warnertoddhuston

I think you would be surprised to be mostly wrong. I agree some may balk, but I’d guess most would obey. Just look at our out of control police. They are supposed to be civilians themselves but have become enemies to the people.

          • jim_m

Yes, but there is a long standing culture of an us vs them mentality in the police, whereas the military is based much more on defending the people. We do not have a culture of the military swearing personal allegiance to the President, despite what obama would like to institute.

          • Alpha_Male

Correct me if I’m wrong, and understand my experience is limited, but it seems there is a huge difference between policing attitudes in most urban areas between the civil service PD’s and the LEO’s of the elected officials, ie., city cops vs. deputies and constables.

Not to stereo-type but it seems that poor attitude, the “I’ve got a badge and gun thus I’m 7 foot tall and bullet proof” and the “us vs. them” attitude you alluded to is seen most commonly among the civil service LEO’s whereas with the deputies and constables they are much more likely to be helpful and less dismissive of concerns, excepting the well documented You Tube “heroes” who provoke reactions with their open carry confrontations, they are usually happy when approached by an obvious law abiding citizen.

Am I generalizing or is this a common trend?

          • jim_m

I don’t believe that it divides so conveniently. The us vs them attitude cuts across both elected/political appointees and the civil servant cop.

How soon the wingnuts forget when their guy was in the White House, and President went “on leave” and was irresponsible and unaccountable when the USA was facing legitimate, “imminent” terrorist threats.

From June to September 2001, a full seven CIA Senior Intelligence Briefs detailed that attacks were imminent, an incredible amount of information from one intelligence agency. One from June called “Bin-Ladin and Associates Making Near-Term Threats” writes that “[redacted] expects Usama Bin Laden to launch multiple attacks over the coming days.” The famous August brief called “Bin Ladin Determined to Strike the US” is included. “Al-Qai’da members, including some US citizens, have resided in or travelled to the US for years, and the group apparently maintains a support structure here,” it says.

During the entire month of August, President Bush was on vacation at his ranch in Texas — which tied with one of Richard Nixon’s as the longest vacation ever taken by a president. CIA Director George Tenet has said he didn’t speak to Bush once that month, describing the president as being “on leave.” </blockquot

    • jim_m

It isn’t just that Dear Leader blows off intelligence briefings. He blows off all of his responsibilities. It took him months before he could be bothered to meet with Petraeus. He routinely sloughs off real work so he can do important things like announcing his NCAA brackets, golfing and fundraising.

    • Vagabond661

Bush should have blown millions on a real vacation like the current president.

    • Retired military

Idiot. You don’t think that Bush wasn’t getting daily if not more often briefs?
Also there were 60+ investigations going on ref AQ and the middle east.

Go take your liberal talking points and go back to where you were for the past few months.

    • alanstorm

You have reading comprehension issues, like our boy Bruce?

“From June to September…” That’s 4 months, for the math-impaired. Immanent happenings don’t wait around 4 months. I note that nothing in the link indicates that they had any indication of the targets or methodology. Simply declaring that someone has thought of using hijacked airliners as weapons does not in any way indicate that anyone would (or should) focus on that delivery method – especially since no one ever had.

20/20 hindsight is wonderful, isn’t it? Too bad you weren’t there to advise the president. I’m sure it would have come out differently.

  • GarandFan

Uh….hate to rain on your parade, but we’ve been doing this since WWII.

  • Vagabond661

If they really wanted to destroy a city, couldn’t they just follow the Detriot model?

    • jim_m

Seriously. There are parts of Detroit that make the destruction of WWII Berlin look like minor damage.

Plus with the destruction of Berlin we eliminated the government that brought on that destruction. With the Detroit method that government remains in place to ensure that it never rises from the rubble.

“This facility has been designed by Obama’s cohorts in order to train solders to kill YOU and ME in case we get the crazy idea that our government is no longer following the U.S. Constitution.”

I’ve been coming to this blog for about a decade now.

At what point did it get taken over by the John Birch Society?

Sadly, I find much of the content on this blog seems to be written by right wing versions of Lee Ward.

Is this really the direction that this blog is going?

    • jim_m

Yeah, I have to agree that this one is pretty much black helicopter conspiracy crap.

      • SteveCrickmore075

This facility has been designed by Obama’s cohorts in order to train solders to kill YOU and ME in case we get the crazy idea that our government is no longer following the U.S. Constitution.
This fake american base was designed six years ago in January, 2008, when Bush 43 was president, a year before Obama became president, so would this mean that Bush and Cheney, could be ‘Obama cohorts’ by Huston’s definition, and then also part of the muslim manchiarian candidate’s conspiracy to kill Americans? Un huh!

      • Brucehenry

This is what happens when y’all allow these guys to treat you like the rubes they obviously believe you are.

        • jim_m

That would imply that they do not believe what they write. I don’t get that impression.

Now, on the other hand I believe that we have very good evidence that the obama admin does not believe the crap they put out. They knew that Benghazi was not about a video and they knew the obamacare was going to make people lose their insurance.

If you want to see a rube go look in the mirror. You have been buying into obama’s lies for over 6 years now. Your ignorance is what fuels his contempt for the American people.

          • Brucehenry

So you think that Warner honestly believes that the sole purpose of this training facility is to train American soldiers to make war on American civilians to keep Obama, Boehner, Pelosi and McConnell in power? If he does he’s a bigger fool than I ever took him for before this.

Do you think he honestly believes that Dan Savage is “Obama’s bullying czar” as well? LOL. Do you think he honestly believes that “Islam is a cancer”?

I wasn’t calling y’all rubes, Jim. I was pointing out that Warner and Michael think all y’all are rubes. They think they only need to throw out red meat every now and then, and YOU, Jim underscore M, will bend over backwards to justify their hyperbolic bilgewater.

  • alanstorm

Hate to admit it, but I have to agree with Brucie on this one. The military has been building locations like this for a long time.

Although I must wonder why they didn’t simply buy Detroit? They probably could have had the whole thing at fire-sale prices. On the other had, it’s already half-destroyed.

    • Plinytherecent

They didn’t want to go to Detroit because they wanted a safe environment to practice in.

  • Lawrence Westlake

This literally is most retarded blog post in the history of the blogosphere, which is saying something, Chief. FYI, the Army has been building mock urban warfare zones and practicing urban warfare since the Mogadishu fiasco, which was more than two decades ago. Also, does Fallujah rings any bells? Are you actually this stupid and detached from reality? Geez.

    • Walter_Cronanty

And yet, somehow, you’ve managed to lessen its informative value.

    • mikegiles

We were practicing urban warfare when I was a marine- and that was 48 years ago. And what would be the repercussions if the US were to use any replica of ANY foreign city to practice on. I can see the headlines now.

  • Any Mosque they can destroy any time, any place, let her rip. Now that is a great idea, the rest is BS, IMO!

    • Brucehenry

This ljcarolyne character is the caliber of individual Warner thinks ALL y’all are. He thinks none of you folks are any smarter than this genius.

      • Sky__Captain

Judging by your posts, I’d say ljcarolyne is far better at posting that you, Li’l Brucie.
Personal attacks indicate you have no intelligent response, have no real opinion on the post, and are of questionable character.

As I have stated before, you MUST be the comic relief – otherwise you’d have been banished loooong ago.

        • Brucehenry

The face of irony impairment, ladies and gentlemen.

  • Michael Lang

Obama will be gone in three years. Stop the wingnut hysteria. It is embarrassing.
