Thank you Kevin! And I have to thank my UK-Canadian family ancestry for inspiring a dryly funny quip about the stiff-natured Piers Morgan as well. To this day, Piers Morgan still ranks his greatest regret as introducing his friend Paul McCartney to a model he knew, Heather Mills. The good-natured Paul McCartney liked Mills, as well as had some sympathy for the nasty accident when a motorcycle policeman hit the model and she lost a leg as a result of the accident. Before the accident, Mills was a basically broke model who did a number of small time gigs including this spanking photo shoot, which is also very British as well. Mills went on making Paul McCartney’s life hell on Earth, and Piers Morgan went on to low ratings as the replacement for Larry King at CNN with a style and political views not entirely pleasing to many viewers, resulting in his cancellation by CNN. Piers Morgan gave up his successful gig with AMERICAN’S GOT TALENT to take the place of Larry King, proving that not all gigs are good. I know that Warner Todd Huston is pleased as punch that Morgan is gone as well as a few others here.

Nobody told me that a speech was required when accepting this award!

No, I know. But, how Piers Morgan came to take that ill-fated job on CNN is an interesting story that I will later cover over at Wizbang Pop. It was a disaster for someone highly skilled, who was better at so many other jobs and a close friend of many like Paul McCartney.

Don’t count me as a fan. He lost me with all of his anti-gun nonsense. He’s clearly one of those leftists that doesn’t just disagree, he thinks those of us on the right are evil and stupid.

          And I don’t respect him.

Plus, last I heard, he may have legal issues coming up concerning illegal phone hacking. If he worked for Fox, he’d probably be on trial right now.

          • Paul Hooson

I think he’s very bright and very intelligent. But, he was a bad fit on CNN compared to Larry King who seemed to sell much better. I like Piers Morgan in the entertainment industry, but he had too many personal opinions on CNN to suit many, losing that balance as a moderator.

  • Thanks Kevin
