Stern Looks From Sean Penn, That Ought to Free 250 Kidnapped Nigerian Girls!

They’ve ignored the violent region for a decade, they’ve never spoken out about the Islamist radical terrorists who have killed thousands, but now that over 250 girls have been kidnapped by the Islamist terror group Boko Haram, suddenly a handful of Hollywooders have deigned to notice… and weeks late at that.

In April, the terror group Boko Haram went on a mass kidnapping spree imprisoning hundreds of Nigerian girls who were trying to attend school. The Islamists are against girls going to school, naturally. That and they want to money from selling the girls into sexual slavery. Hundreds of grief stricken Nigerian parents have been trying to get the world to notice for weeks.

President Obama has been ignoring the mass kidnapping for almost a month already. But now he is finally starting to pay attention. On May 7 First Lady Michelle Obama Tweeted out a photo of herself holding a piece of paper that sways “#Bring Back Out Girls.”

For his part, the President has begun to offer some help, though no one is quite sure what that amounts to yet.

That is all well and good, but what is galling is the idiots in Hollywood. Suddenly being all worried about the Nigerian girls is all the rage among the hipsters. To express their newfound concern a handful of Hollyidiots Tweeted photos of themselves with stern faces holding signs that say “real men don’t buy girls.”

Because, you know, a Twitter picture of the stern looks of Hollyidiots are certain to scare a wild-dog pack of Islamists so bad that they will surely return the girls safe and sound. Why, WHO could withstand the stern look of a Sean Penn?

Shock and awe, baby.

The conceit of these dopes is amazing. Where were they a month ago? For that matter, where have they been since they each, individually were lucky enough to find such fame and a public platform for their blather? After all radical Islamists have been doing this stuff during these “stars’” whole career!

To suddenly jump in as if this one incident is so unusual is the height of hypocrisy. This same stuff has been going on, perpetrated at the hands of Muslims, for decades and decades. Yet these Hollyidiots have paid no attention at all to the decades of murders, terror attacks, and human rights abuses at the hands of Muslims since day one of their careers–their very births, even.

Now, one may ask: should these Hollyidiots be concerned about Boko Haram and the rest of the Muslim murderers marauding through the world? Not necessarily, of course. But it is they who claim that they care more than the rest of us about the world, they who constantly use their celebrity to push one cause after another, they who ignore real outrages in the world to pretend that the USA is the great evil (I am looking at you, Sean Penn).

So, please, Hollywood. Spare me your empty Twitter campaigns that do nothing, mean nothing, and solve nothing.

In fact, I can sort of blame you in the first place for not advocating the end of Islamism and giving scumbags like Boko Haram all the room in the world to perpetrate their crimes.

More useless posturing form the left designed to do nothing about the problem and only to assuage their guilty conscience.

Of course, propose anything that might be effective against these terrorists and these very same stooges will vilify you, calling you intolerant, a war monger (if you propose military action), and they will demand to know why the US didn’t do something in the case of [insert leftist fetish object here] demanding that if you don’t confront every injustice that no injustice should be confronted at all (unless it is confronted through useless, idiot gestures like the ones above.

  • jim_m

I’m waiting for the parody site : Real men don’t buy girls… They sell them.

Funny to note that the terrorists are not buying the girls they abducted, they are selling them, so Penn and the others are not protesting against the Boko Haram terrorists, they are only protesting against their customers. I suppose that these posers would be too afraid to actually take a direct stand against islamic terrorism.

  • Lawrence Westlake

Well, it’s a severe mental disorder from which these nitwits suffer, not merely the character flaw of being hypocrites. The other funny thing about this — in the Idiocracy sense — is that most of these waste cases couldn’t find Nigeria on a map of the world, even if you spoted them all of the adjacent countries, and if you pointed out to Sean Penn & Co. that Nigeria is a huge player in the world mining and petroleum markets and that the terrorists here are Islamofacists they’d give you a similar perplexed look to the one you get from your dog or cat.

    • Brucehenry

Someone is posing as Westlake but I’m on to him. He posted a whole comment without the words “demographics” or “erstwhile,” so I’m pretty sure he’s got the real Lawrence tied up and gagged somewhere.

      • LiberalNightmare

Maybe he has been kidnapped by Boko Haram, and is even now bringing domestic bliss to his new husband.

      • Jwb10001

See Bruce this is the Westlake that sounds all Glenn Beck’ish, with all his calling people nitwits, and suffering from character flaws, waste cases, Islamofacisits blah blah blah. The other Westlake is the one that chastises people for the very same sort of comments. It all depends on weather he’s hitting the Glenn Beck crack pipe or not.

        Good on that kidnapper…

      • Vagabond661

And he left out “part & parcel”.

Remember for most liberals it is only the gesture that counts. Not whether it does anything or not.

    • jim_m

Accomplishing nothing is the point. Were the left able to resolve any of the issues the demagogue, they would lose the ability to demagogue those issues. It is part and parcel of their ideology that there should be no progress in correcting any of the great social ills that they see. When all you can do is pose, preserving the opportunities for posing is of paramount importance.

    • http://www.rustedsky.net JLawson

So this is the perfect ‘weapon’ as far as they’re concerned.
It’s a nice gesture that gets their face in front of the public and shows they ‘care’, which is totally meaningless to those it is supposedly intended for.

  • GarandFan

Surprised that Penn isn’t down in Venezuela with his buddies, helping prop up a corrupt regime.

    • http://www.rustedsky.net JLawson

Nothing in it for him as far as street cred goes – so why bother?

  • Paul Hooson

I hope that the U.S. can find some reason to hit these terrorists hard with bombings and set back this organization.

    • Jwb10001

Do you also hope that Obama does that in compliance with the war powers act or should he just do what he usually does and say screw it I won I’m bombing their asses?

      • Paul Hooson

Officially this is a police action to look for hostages. These terrorists fire one shot at American soldiers, CIA or FBI and they declared open season on themselves because U.S. have the right to defend themselves under fire or threat of violence. No war powers act is required for a rescue mission to free hostages in a police action of this sort. – These terrorists need to weakened to the point that they cannot kidnap more victims.

Obviously you havent been to the mexican border lately. There if the US personnel are shot at then the official policy of Obama is to turn tail and run like hell and let the illegals in.

          • Paul Hooson

Relations with Mexico are very complex and corruption among some public officials and police run rampant. Shootings incidents are something to avoid because of complications in relations between the two nations. Illegal immigration has slowed down significantly after the worst economic impacts of NAFTA wore off and the American economy slowed significantly during the Bush Administration years, partially due to the impact of 9/11.

          • jim_m

Idiot. The adverse effect of NAFTA were only ever labor union propaganda. If anything, it bolstered the Mexican economy somewhat and reduced northward migration.

Probably the bigger issue has been drug cartel violence and that has been openly aided by obama, who sent thousands of weapons across he border to arm the cartels and contributed to hundreds of murders. If our relations with Mexico are “complicated” it is in no small part due to obama acting to destabilize their country.

It’s a job for boots on the ground, and Moochelles husband lacks to stones for it.

      • Paul Hooson

Nigeria is our strongest ally in Africa and has helped the U.S. greatly after 9/11 to rally other African states to stand with the U.S. opposing terrorism. But, terrorists look to undermine this friendly government, so this becomes an important state for the U.S. to deal a blow to the growth of terrorism within Africa. – Nigeria and other African states are also rapidly expanding markets for electronics as well, so the U.S., China, Korea and Japan all can see a real financial benefit by supporting modernization efforts in Africa compared to terrorist efforts to shun Western-styled modernization and universal education.

I have never encountered a former military person that has so consistently demonstrated a pathological fear of using the military for military operations (ie, it isn’t a vocational training program).

Try this on for size: The military serves the civilian government and if the civilian government deems that military action is in their best interest then the military is bound to take that action (with the obvious exception of taking action against our own citizens).

If you don’t like that idea then maybe you should refuse your benes in protest. But then you only joined for those benes because you really do think that the military is a vocation training program with opportunities for sex tourism.

          • Commander_Chico

Sadly, I have encountered many chickenhawks, wanting American blood to be shed for people in Darfur, Ukraine, Iraq, Freedonia or where ever American interests are not really implicated, but to make them feeeel good.

          • jim_m

Better a chickenhawk than a parasitic coward.

          • Commander_Chico

How do you know how many times I risked my life in service? I know how many times you have: 0

          • jim_m

I wager that we are about even then, Commander Vocational Training.

          • jim_m

I think I have found the video of your leaving the service. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK6hFk8jtvo

It fits you to a tee.

          • jim_m

I cannot see what your objection is to the defense of Freedonia. Seems like a country that would be just your style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dsw9jYU_rJI

Who told Sean Penn (and those other creatures) what real men do and don’t do?

    • Commander_Chico

Sean Penn banged Elizabeth McGovern, Madonna in her prime, Robin Wright, Charlize Theron and surely countless other dimes and 9s.

      • Jwb10001

If all you give a shit about is belt notching, I suppose that’s true. People with an ounce of dignity get past that before they become responsible adults. I guess that tells us a bit about you and your adolescent view of the world.

        • Commander_Chico

I’ll stick to my adolescence, it’s more fun. You stick to your senescence.

          • Jwb10001

Good plan there Chico since you’ve got no choice in the matter, being completely lead around by your dick.

          • Commander_Chico

Elizabeth McGovern looks too much like Diane Feinstein – Penn gets points subtracted for that.
