Obama Claims Anti-Semitic Iranians are Just Being ‘Rational’

Obama has now decided that being a wild-eyed hater of Jews is a “rational” action and that the Iranian’s hate for Jews doesn’t make them bad people. How can Jews still support Obama?

In discussing his foreign policy ideas concerning Iran getting a nuke, Obama once again had harsher things to say about Israel than he does about Iran despite that Iran has actually helped kill thousands of American soldiers.

Obama complained that there are “political forces” in the US that want to help give Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government a rubber stamp to do what ever it wants to do and Obama thinks that is a bad idea.

In particular, Obama wants the Israelis to end its settlement efforts. In fact, Obama insists that standing against Israel’s policy doesn’t make him anti-Jew.

On the other hand, it doesn’t seem that Obama cares too much if anyone else is anti-Jew if his next set of comments are any indication.

Obama decided to offer his idea that the Iranian’s unthinking and automatic hate of Jews is not all that big a deal. He also insisted that, despite the fact that every single Iranian in any office in the country has repeatedly said that he wants the Jews dead, why, gosh darn it, not all Iranian leaders are against Jews.

And even if they were it don’t make no never mind to the big “O.”

“The fact that you are anti-Semitic, or racist, doesn’t preclude you from being interested in survival,” Obama said, speaking of Tehran’s leadership. “It doesn’t preclude you from being rational about the need to keep your economy afloat; it doesn’t preclude you from making strategic decisions about how you stay in power; and so the fact that the supreme leader is anti-Semitic doesn’t mean that this overrides all of his other considerations.”

He said that, historically, anti-Semitic policies have been executed by governments across Europe and the Middle East at a “low cost.” His policy is to make clear to the Iranians that the cost is high, he said.

So, crazed Islamist terrorists having a nuke is no bid deal and being anti-Semitic and wanting all Jews killed is also no big deal?

What is wrong with this man?

You Jewish Democrats here in the USA should be ashamed of yourselves for supporting this monster.

For a variety of reasons, Obama has been losing support among American Jews, down to just a 54% approval versus 46% disapproval. While still 8 points higher than the general population average, for Jewish voters this is a major downturn from the 78% of Jewish votes in 2008 and the 69% of Jewish votes in 2012. Further, readers at Wizbang should note some of my critical jokes about this administration from this here disappointed Jew. Too often this administration has struck me as inept and making poor lightweight appointments and failed to inspire much confidence.

Be an anti-Semite long enough and evern the furthest left of the Jewish community will figure it out.

What Obama said is true. All around the region, you find Arabs and other Muslims who bad-mouth Jews and Israel, but do business with them and even have political and military alliances. It’s called “lip service.”

Didn’t the Iranians buy weapons from Israel during the Iran-Iraq War? Aren’t the Saudis, Turks, Qataris and Israelis in de facto alliance on Syria? Isn’t there cross-border trade and even flights between Jordan, Turkey and Egypt and Israel?

Americans need to ignore war-with-Iran propaganda like this piece. Backing Israel and Saudi Arabia in Syria against Assad has already produced a disaster. Letting the Armageddon Christian fundies and the traitorous paid agents of the Likud bloc drag us into war with Iran the way they did with Iraq might lead to World War III, not the return of Jesus.

Strangely, if not sadly so, your first two sentences contain truth about the complicated MidEast. But, I disagree with your conclusion at the end here, although I believe Israel needs pragmatic relations in the region both for their own survival and for a peaceful region.

When Arabs badmouth Jews, my reply is, “aren’t you Arabs cousins to the Jews?” Then they laugh and agree.

I agree that Israel needs a pragmatic view. Peace could come with a fair deal on the West Bank and Gaza, with guarantees from the Gulf Arabs, USA,, Russia, EU and UN for aid and peacekeeping forces. A regional free trade zone would be in everyone’s benefit.

Unfortunately, Israel is hostage to its settlers and extremists. The Labor Party of Rabin and Peres can’t get anywhere.

Issac and Ishmael were the stars of the original version of “FAMILY FEUD”. Both have much in common, including being part African in their DNA…

I take no comfort in stating the obvious: our President is an absolute moron. Let’s take a little liberty with what he said.

“The fact that you are … racist, doesn’t preclude you from being interested in survival,” Obama said, speaking of the [Confederate States’] leadership. “It doesn’t preclude you from being rational about the need to keep your economy afloat; it doesn’t preclude you from making strategic decisions about how you stay in power; and so the fact that [Jefferson Davis] is racist doesn’t mean that this overrides all of his other considerations.”

I guess he’s taking Eric Holder’s suggestion about discussing race relations to the next level.

Isn’t Iran one of the few nations where open discussion of the religion of the West, the Holocaust, is allowed?
This might cause some friction between the two groups: the apostates and the Holy Ones.

    • jim_m

Wht do you mean about “open discussion of the Holocuast”? Yes, open denial of the Holocaust is quite accepted in Iran, Just ask former President Ahmadinejad.

      • Brucehenry

When this guy calls the Holocaust the “religion of the West,” he reveals himself as a Denier, Jim. Not to be taken seriously.

        • Walter_Cronanty

Have mercy, I read right over that “religion of the West” remark, not even thinking about it. Thanks for pointing it out. Yikes.

          • Brucehenry

Well, don’t worry about it. Paul “Hey! Look At Me! I’m A Jew!” Hooson upvoted the dude, and Jim “I Can TOO Read” M understood him to be saying the complete opposite of what he intended.
