This week’s Weekend Caption Contest™ captured our Dear Leader in a moment of respectful diplomacy. The assignment this week was to caption the following picture:

Hooray! My goofy Germanic double entendre was a success here! Thank you everyone…I am indeed a happy wanderer in my lederhosen today! – Maybe even joke leaderhooson for today at least, thank you…

    • Rick Adams

I didn’t even spot the double entendre until you pointed it out, then burst out laughing when I finally figured it out.

      • yetanotherjohn

Ich bin ein Dummkopf. I see the black forest (Germanic to the core) and forest gump (an idiot who glides through history with no concept of what is going on). I get the combination. But I don’t see the double entendre.

        • Rick Adams

I’m sorry, perhaps “double entendre” is the wrong term. I was referring to the combo of “Black Forest” plus “Forest Gump,” so you are not at all an idiot.

          • yetanotherjohn

Ach du lieber. Jetz ich verstehen.
I thought there was a second Germanic joke (like Gump being a type of cake as in Black Forest Cake) or something. I’m not a smart man, but I know what humor is.

    • A brilliant caption Paul

      • Paul Hooson

Thank you. Praise from the master(you) means a great deal to me. Your humor is always so masterful and clever, my friend.

  • Retired military

    Thanks

  • Pretzel__Logic

    Whooo Hooo!

  • Joe_Miller

Sarah, chalk up another week of you being incredibly astute.

  • yetanotherjohn

I predict this weeks photo will be will feature Obama posing with past “presidents”.

    • Paul Hooson

Better than Obama posing as past presidents. Imagine him in Lincoln’s beard or Washington’s hair…

Take a look at althouse’s blog. She has a photo of Obama standing with five other larger than life presidential characters. Very much in the flavor of a caption contest.
e.g. The smallest head has the biggest ego.
Obama to George Washington “You didn’t father this country”.
Lincoln to Obama “What part of ‘a house divided’ don’t you understand?”
