Trump: You Can Stand Me Up to the Gates of Hell, but I Won’t Back Down

Whether you love Donald Trump or hate him, you’ve got to admit that he stirs the pot up with a big spoon and he doesn’t back down.

Mat Lauer worked overtime to push Trump on his comments about McCain. Matt found out that The Donald isn’t one of the politically correct Republican squishes he’s used to bullying. And thank you to Tom Petty for our title.

The real money quote here is this.

“Sharyl Attkisson did a major expose yesterday,” Trump continued. “She said that Trump is being mistreated. Four times, he said, ‘McCain is a war hero.’ I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with what he’s doing on the border. He’s terrible, and I do have a problem with the illegal immigration being a disaster. He’s doing a horrible job for the vets… Frankly, illegal immigrants get treated better than many of our vets. It’s a disgrace .”

And that is the absolute truth. We live in Arizona and we are ashamed to have sent – repeatedly – John McCain to the US Senate. There is nothing Trump could possibly say about McCain that we wouldn’t consider mild criticism.

Whether or not you like Trump, the one thing he does right is that he doesn’t back down from the media. 99 of 100 GOP pols would fold like a cheap suit the moment the media gave them any push back.

We ain’t proud of Graham, either.

Trump is this season’s Herman Cain.

Or he could be this seasons howard the scream dean, but of course to you there are no crazy democrats. Of course anyone that knows trump’s history know he’s no conservative.

What Trump gets right – what is wrong with the current direction of the country. He has also has the bravado to not back down on his convictions. That is an admirable trait even if you disagree with anyone.. What he gets wrong is getting sidetracked into side issues not worth debate – like McCain who is a has been at best. Though, Trump was correct to call McCain out. McCain is a RINO picture perfect and the very reason not only why the R’s lost in 2008 but also why the GOP until the more recent years revival was a declining party. Now it is no longer that party except at its head which must be dismembered through replacement at the ballot box for it to survive. Boehner, McCain, Graham and the rest of the hold over RINOs – time to go. Part of the greatest generation that failed us with their socialist policies are also the same ones that succeeded in their youth to save the planet from totalitarianism of the Nazi’s and the Japanese. The irony of life is always amazing.

And kudo’s for the title – I agree –Stand me up at the gates of hell and I won’t back down. – Tom Petty and I agree on the source of that sentiment. But it also does aptly applies to Trump as well as he is tested in the hell of left wing media coverage.

We have McCain’s lackluster 2008 campaign to blame in part for the disaster in the White House. In the last two weeks, the GOP race has turned into The Donald and the 15 dwarfs. He is loud, proud, and non-apologetic, which thus far has served him well. At least no one is talking about Rick Santorum or Mike Huckabee now. It will be interesting to see which, if any, of the other candidates stand out on August 6.

I’m liking Trump more and more. Especially seeing him give it back to a**holes like Lauer.

The Hillary Clinton campaign couldn’t invent a better asset than Trump.

He will be like the “drunk Uncle” at the debates and every time he utters some incendiary rhetoric the other candidates will have no choice but to respond.

“So what do you think about what he said (referring to comments made by the candidate with a squirrel on his head)?”

    • Jwb10001

Do you think Hillary will have to answer for every thing Bernie Sanders says? Will anyone ask if she believes the true unemployment rate is over 10 percent of if women really wish to be raped?
