Bobby Jindal: “Sanctuary City Mayors Should be Arrested”

Bobby Jindal one-upped Donald Trump on Monday. Trump is making his moves on illegal immigration, Jindal came out against sanctuary cities that harbor illegal aliens and wants mayors of those cities arrested and held civilly libel so they can be sued by families of crime victims who were victimized by illegal aliens.

Here’s Bobby on Boston Herald Radio.

“Absolutely, I would hold them as an accomplice. Make them criminally culpable,” the Republican presidential candidate said when asked if he’d arrest mayors of sanctuary cities . “I’d also make them civilly liable so that families, victim’s families could sue. Especially if the prosecutor isn’t taking action or the mayor’s not changing their ways, I’d allow the families to go to court as well to recover damages.”

That’s a great position, especially when Democrats are manning the walls to defend sanctuary cities.

Americans are opposed to sanctuary cities, except in Progressive, anti-American strongholds like San Francisco. This should be another rally cry for Republican candidates. Cut off federal funds to sanctuary cities, including federal student aid (student loans) to colleges located in them, and prosecute their mayors and DAs.

They wont get arrested. Libs can break the law all the time with little to no consequences. The only ones who suffer lose their jobs when they refuse to issue marriage licenses to gays against their religous beliefs.

Some mayors feel that this is a moral decision on their part to be decent to immigrants, while others may feel that this is a misguided notion. – Even the family of Jesus didn’t always feel welcome living in a Mideast under Roman rule and oppression, wandering from town to town to find a place to live.

moral decision or not, they’re there to uphold our laws as written, not pick and choose
what they want to enforce based on feelings and politics.

      • Paul Hooson

Mayors seem to make a lot of morality based decisions everyday in every city, not as a matter of the actual rule of law.

Meanwhile conservatives who make moral decisions get fired, thrown in jail, receive death threats, and are vilified by the left.

Yes arrest mayors of sanctuary cities but erect monuments to Confederate “heroes.”

    • Paul Hooson

President Lincoln used to carry around this early photo of a Union soldier nearly dead from starvation in the notorious Andersonville POW camp in Georgia. This Confederate-run POW camp was considered to be a war crime on the same par as the Nazi death camps where the Confederate commander of this camp was later tried and executed for murder. Suicide was considered to be better than being sent to this Confederate death camp.

Well at least you agree that sanctuary cities are a bad idea. I’ll have to admit to not being up on the most recent news, which republicans are erecting monuments to confederate heroes?

With Christie vowing to impose federal law on states which have legalized marijuana, Huckabee ready to send the FBI and Army in to ban abortion everywhere, and now this, I wonder about the survival of local government in the USA.

Let people rule themselves locally. It’s up to the feds to control the borders, not the whole country.

“With Christie vowing to impose federal law on states which have legalized marijuana”
Gee I thought by definition “federal law” was considered LAW in all the states. It would be nice if liberals would at least would be consistent in one of their nuanced opposing stances on an issue.

      • Commander_Chico

Should states be allowed to legalize marijuana or not?

        Tenth Amendment rules that.
