“I’m glad the Pope spoke out about global warming and it was very helpful, but does he know he’s causing it?”

Pope Francis Derangement Syndrome has sunk to new depths:

Only Gloria Steinem, arguably the most influential women’s rights activist in the world today, can pack in a semester’s worth of gender studies and history lessons in 60 minutes, and make it as engaging

and empowering as a political rally. Steinem, who is about to release her memoir My Life on the Road, stopped by the Hearst Tower on Wednesday night as part of the Hearst MasterClass interview series. The activist, organizer, and journalist dropped some serious wisdom in a one-on-one conversation withCosmopolitan editor-in-chief Joanna Coles that covered the election, gender pay gap, and reproductive rights. Here are some of her best quotes…

On Rethinking the Patriarchy

“All of our courses in economics should start with reproduction, not production.”
“I had this thought that we should have this massive education campaign pointing out that the Pope and all of the other patriarchal religions that dictate to women in this way, accusing them of global warming. Because the human load on this earth is the biggest cause of global warming, and that is because of forcing women to have children they would not on their own choose to have … I’m glad the Pope spoke out about global warming and it was very helpful, but does he know he’s causing it?”

Pope Francis… marxist… socialist… and now… causer of global warming.

Can’t wait to see what those suffering from PFDS come up with next.

You?

For goodness sake, who cares if a malignant imbecile – who made her reputation when signed up as a playboy bunny and was then surprised and shocked when she was treated like a sex object – goes after a mostly benign political bumbler (the Pope)?

Appeal to Kevin – what the heck does Rick add to our understanding in the context of the charter of Wizbang? No one cares about endless, mindless, defenses of the pope and in this case, he seems to be going out of his way to find offense and then post his self-righteous indignation over a trivial and utterly predictable “slight”.

    • Apologies for the offense Brett… perhaps copious usage of your scroll bar on my posts is in order.

The only reason I clicked on the post at all was to check out Gloria’s idiocy. Everyone should know by now that global warming is caused by NOAA, as they keep “adjusting” the temperature record to create a warming trend when none exists.

The claims of PFDS is an unfortunate bonus. Expect no more clicks on a Rick post.

        • Aww… another hypersensitive conservative perhaps… my apologies for offending so many of you…

          • Sky__Captain

Oh, you don’t offend me, even when you resort to name-calling.

I realize that there are none so blind as those who will not see..

And I do pity the likes of you, as you will never see any truth.

You mistake amusement at your ignorance with taking offense.

  • Constitution First

That’s a SHE? “She” looks a lot like Ozzy Osborn.

    • Heh…

    • iwogisdead

I’m pretty sure Ozzy Osbourne is gonna sue you.

The defense of those who can compose no defense of their leaders, is to claim that all detractors are in some way deranged. While i am sure the far left detractors of the Pope fill the bill for this rather admirably, the conservative critique of this Peronist is coming from both within and without the church. It is articulated in realistic terms and is serious in its intent and not by any means the senseless hysteria we see here.

Rick attempts to dishonestly conflate real, substantive criticism of his god, Francis, with this bs. He does so because he now realizes that he is incapable of formulating any serious defense of his god’s political views.

Sorry but no one in their right mind is looking to either the Pope or Gloria Steinem for the facts on global warming. Both PF and GS are way too mired in their own ideological dogmas to bring a critical eye to this subject.

There you go again, expecting people to be rational, thinking beings.
