Obama Might As Well Pardon Russian Hackers, Too.

So, President Obama has decided to commute Bradley/Chelsea Manning’s prison sentence.

From ABC News: “President Obama granted a commutation to Chelsea Manning, a transgender soldier who was convicted of Espionage Act violations and other charges for leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks.”

Obama might as well pardon the Russian hackers, too.

Why? Because the Russian hackers are alleged to have given information about Hillary Clinton and her campaign to WikiLeaks.

As CBS News reports, Manning “was convicted in 2013 in military court of six violations of the Espionage Act and 14 other offenses for providing to WikiLeaks more than 700,000 secret military and State Department documents, as well as battlefield videos.”

Now, were the documents that Russian hackers allegedly gave to WikiLeaks secret military and State Department documents? No, they were not.

From Fox News: “Manning accepted responsibility for leaking the material to WikiLeaks to raise public awareness about the effects of war on civilians…”

The Clinton data revealed by WikiLeaks raised public awareness about the Clinton campaign’s dirty laundry.

Fox News quotes House Speaker Paul Ryan as saying, “Chelsea Manning’s treachery put American lives at risk and exposed some of our nation’s most sensitive secrets.”

Now, which was worse, exposing a politician’s dirty campaign laundry or putting American lives at risk and exposing some of our nation’s most sensitive secrets?

Granted, Manning was convicted of a crime and has already served six years in a military prison. However, the seriousness of Manning’s crime should not be dismissed.

Sure, some people call Manning a hero for revealing the truth. Well, WikiLeaks revealed the truth about the Clinton campaign.

Apparently, the truth is to be revealed only when Democrats approve of the revelation.

Mr. Obama deserves severe condemnation for this outrage. I am deeply concerned about this nation’s national security, and not sending a strong message to those that harm our national security does not help our national security interests.

    • Brett Buck

But not so concerned when your chosen candidate, with access to *far* more classified information and *far more of it*, was passing it through an unclassified server and having it eventually ending up on the machine of her assistant’s sex pervert computer? Even worse, Cankles was a originating classifier, with far more responsibility to know the rules and follow them than this little weirdo.

      • Paul Hooson

I’ll never defend this careless handling of classified information by Clinton. On the other hand, Manning’s conduct was willful with the intent of harming our nation. During the election, as well as now, Mr. Trump’s naive views about the types of threats that Mr. Putin presents continue to concern me. Recent movements of Russian armor and troops into Crimea, as well as the new placement of nuclear capable Iskander short range missiles into an area near Poland as well as into Syria deserve an American response starting with high level phone calls demanding that the Russians back down here as a first step.

What does the Clinton server and Manning have in common? Both bitch slap the people who were granted clearances and play by the rules. The 0bummer Regime spits in the face law-abiding, honest Americans for his self-serving political agenda. 0bama is the domestic enemy our forefathers knew would come. I won’t speculate on a motive. What he is doing, on the other hand, is without doubt is a cancer on the Republic. While our national nightmare will be over in two days, the idiots who voted for and still agree with his traitorous behavior are still out there, metastasizing.

I hear “Chelsea” Manning is off in a safe space knitting herself pussyhat.

Hey? What’s the problem here? All Manning did was betray the national security of the United States. That is completely in line with the dem agenda. Betray the US and let Americans die. No different than what Barry and Hillary did in Benghazi.

Now, if you want to betray the dems or make Barry look bad? That is something that they are willing to sacrifice the entirety of the republic for. They will burn the nation down to payback someone for making them look bad.

I’m going to hold my breath until every lefty who railed against Clinton wikileaks protests this.

We don’t want you to die just yet. Go ahead and breathe ’cause we shant hear a peep from the Left.

I don’t know that three decades-plus was the proper punishment for Manning’s actions. But I also don’t think commuting it to seven years is proper. I don’t care about Manning’s transgenderism. I care that Manning indiscriminately leaked secret US cables to Wikileaks and violated the trust placed in him/her by the country.

I have a bet with a coworker that Bergdahl will get a pardon as well.

This is simply more of Obama sticking it to the country on the way out.
As for Manning, this doesn’t happen without the transgender.

Years ago, I read somewhere (don’t recall where) that members of the military transgender community were really pissed off with Manning. Apparently, they’d been working quietly for greater acceptance and accommodation in the military, and Manning’s acts (dumping all the documents, then blaming his act on being transgendered) seriously set their cause back.

It simply proves what I said in 2008 – 0bama is our first anti-American President.
