Prosecutorial Misconduct At The Federal Bureau of Investigation

I am among a growing body of bloggers and opinion authors who hold we are experiencing the aftermath of Presidential misconduct which both exceeds and mimics the underlying misconduct which led to the Watergate scandal. Add now to the precedent misconduct by senior officials at the FBI.

The source, then known as ‘Deep Throat‘ who was instrumental in forcing President Nixon to resign was in fact exacting revenge on the President. Our new analog, let’s refer to him as ‘Richard Smoker’ is the current Deputy Director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe.

Did the FBI retaliate against Michael Flynn by launching Russia probe?

Secret memos show Trump adviser roiled bureau by intervening in agent’s discrimination case before he was targeted in Russia case.

The FBI launched a criminal probe against former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn two years after the retired Army general roiled the bureau’s leadership by intervening on behalf of a decorated counterterrorism agent who accused now-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and other top officials of sexual discrimination, according to documents and interviews.

Flynn’s intervention on behalf of Supervisory Special Agent Robyn Gritz was highly unusual, and included a letter in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationary, a public interview in 2015 supporting Gritz’s case and an offer to testify on her behalf. His offer put him as a hostile witness in a case against McCabe, who was soaring through the bureau’s leadership ranks.

The FBI sought to block Flynn’s support for the agent, asking a federal administrative law judge in May 2014 to keep Flynn and others from becoming a witness in her Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) case, memos obtained by Circa show. Two years later, the FBI opened its inquiry of Flynn.

The EEOC case, which is still pending, was serious enough to require McCabe to submit to a sworn statement to investigators, the documents show.

The deputy director’s testimony provided some of the strongest evidence in the case of possible retaliation, because he admitted the FBI opened an internal investigation into Gritz’s personal conduct after learning the agent “had filed or intended to file” a sex discrimination complaint against her supervisors.

McCabe eventually became the bureau’s No. 2 executive and emerged as a central player in the FBI’s Russia election tampering investigation, putting him in a position to impact the criminal inquiry against Flynn.

Three FBI employees told Circa they personally witnessed McCabe make disparaging remarks about Flynn before and during the time the retired Army general emerged as a figure in the Russia case.

The bureau employees, who spoke only on condition of anonymity for fear of retribution, said they did not know the reason for McCabe’s displeasure with Flynn, but that it made them uncomfortable as the Russia probe began to unfold and pressure built to investigate Flynn. One employee even consulted a private lawyer.

“As far as the troops in the field, the vast-majority were disgusted with the Russia decision, but that was McCabe driving the result that eventually led [former FBI Director James] Comey to make the decision,” said a senior federal law enforcement official, with direct knowledge of the investigation.

Read the whole thing. The rot appears to be deep set in both the FBI and the DOJ.

Time to appoint a whole slew of Special Prosecutors.

The web of ridiculous lies is unravelling pretty quickly.
I can hardly wait until this all blows up in these lying imbecile’s faces.

Toss out anyone that was in power during the Obama admin that is a political appointee.

The politicization of the IRS, ATF, DOJ, FBI, CIA, etc., is perhaps the most damaging legacy of Obama – although I’m more than willing to listen to alternatives.

I haven’t verified this totally but I read where Flynn in 2014 volunteered to be a witness in a sexual harassment case an FBI agent brought. Her name is Robyn. The FBI tried to block any witnesses from the EEOC suit. Now it seems this is payback for that move. Developing. ww

Sexual harassment … it figures … (sigh).

There is a new wrinkle in the Comey saga. Reports are starting to circulate, saying Comey and Little Debbie Does Dallas have been having a torrid affair over the past eight plus months. Now if this is true, there should be hell to pay for both.

Do you have a cite for the “reports” you mention? When I google, the first “report” I find about Comey having an affair with Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a 6/23 story from “Jew World Order,” an apparently rabidly anti-Semitic site with the slogan “Muslim Terrorists = Israel & CIA in disguize defaming terrorizing & plundering the World.” Is this the source for your report?
The other “report” I found is a 6/22 story on “The Premium News.” That report is worded almost identically to the one mentioned above. Both cite “Freedom Crossroads” and “our exclusive sources.” What gives?
