Some folks just can’t let go and fade into obscurity. No, I’m not speaking of the former President, but of one of his “Republican” “challengers.” I use quotes as both descriptors are questionable in terms of their veracity as applied to McLame.

DEEP TROUBLE: British Spy Points at McCain in Russia-Trump FAKE Dossier Case

Liberal Republican [RINO] John McCain – who has been anti-Trump since day 1 – appears to be in deep trouble for his involvement in the fake Russian dossier that sought to smear President Trump.

McClatchy DC

Sen. John McCain faces questions in a defamation lawsuit about leaks leading to publication of the now-infamous dossier that alleged Donald Trump’s campaign had connections to Russian operatives, McClatchy has learned.
The dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele and his London firm, Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd., amounted to a collection of uncorroborated reports of collusion gathered as political research for sale to Trump’s opponents. It proved explosive when published by online news site BuzzFeed on Jan. 10.
Now, two lawsuits — one in the United States and a second in the U.K. — are being brought by lawyers for Aleksej Gubarev, a Cyprus-based Internet entrepreneur whom Steele’s Russian sources accused of cyber spying against the Democratic Party leadership.
According to a new court document in the British lawsuit, counsel for defendants Steele and Orbis repeatedly point to McCain, R-Ariz., a vocal Trump critic, and a former State Department official as two in a handful of people known to have had copies of the full document before it circulated among journalists and was published by BuzzFeed.

At the grave risk of repeating myself, thank you for your service Mr. McCain. Start enjoying your retirement from public life soon.

You can add MS Lyndsey Grahamnesty and Olympia Snow in that category.

I think what we will find is a web of entrenched time serving politicians from both parties that have as their top priority expanding government and protecting their own political influence at any cost, include the destruction of civil liberties. McCain would have no problem sacrificing civil liberties in order to protect his position.

That’s s good argument for term limits.

      • glamdeluxe

It’s a better argument for the repeal of the 17th amendment.

I prefer my plan for a balanced budget: Hang a random congressman daily until one is passed. Provides for both the term limits AND financial responsibility.

        • Vagabond661

A variation: force a congressman and his staff to forfeit their healthcare and sign up for Obama care.

          • jim_m

Better: Force them to get all healthcare via the VA.

Most politicians are so beholden and bought by lobbyists they are now being told to get right of President Trump who is not beholden to their whims. The lobbyists/special interests have for years been the short cut for the politicians growing funding needs. Now they are paying the piper. The only problem with their constant fake meme is investigations lead to wrong doers no matter what side. A judge, the final arbitrator will have to review the investigation for facts. It’s a no win for entrenched politicians/lobbyists. Hoping to wear President Trump down is not working and will not work. He is a New Yorker where all successful people develop and iron skin due to constant criticism.

McCain during Nam was very honorable. He is however NOT a hero. Hero’s are never locked away for a war, but perform deeds in the battlefield where others are saved. He should be ashamed of himself for allowing that work be used in his resume. I am a vet, and hero’s are not made in the waiting room. ww

If you are hunting for RINOs you need to post a picture of McCuckold McConnell and RINO Ryan. They were the best congressional leaders the dems ever had.

    • While I too would love to see both McConnell and Ryan out of leadership roles or un-elected, neither of them chap my hide the way McLame does.
