Seven time loser Jose Inez Garcia-Zarate, who was recently acquitted by a San Francisco Jury on murder charges (round 8) has been charged by a Federal Grand Jury:

Federal Grand Jury Indicts Steinle Killer

Garcia-Zarate, 54, will now face federal charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as for being an illegally present alien in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Garcia-Zarate is a seven-time convicted felon and had been deported from the U.S. five times. The Mexican national was released from a San Francisco jail prior to the killing of Steinle, which led to a national outrage over sanctuary cities.

I was quite surprised by the initial not guilty verdict. Thought liberals didn’t like white-hispanics.

    • When he is eventually deported again I’d like to see him air dropped to Mexico City sans parachute.

The real shock is that the DA didn’t charge the Steinle family with victimizing Zarate. Here we have a poor “undocumented citizen”, who has been victimized by Steinle’s white privileged claim to life. His actions were only self defense.

Just about any SF jury would find for Zarate.

If Senor Garcia-Zarate was a Republican, would Kate Steinle still be alive?

Hey it is California and he is an Illegal. He stands better than a 50% chance of getting off.

    • Depends on where they try him…

How many federal courts do they have in the more conservative areas of Cali? My guess is none.

He will be tried in SF. Which means they will go for jury nullification and celebrate his acquittal.
