McCain intervened on behalf of Charles Keating with federal regulators tasked with preventing banking fraud, and championed legislation to delay regulation of the savings and loan industry -- actions that allowed Keating to continue his fraud at an incredible cost to taxpayers.

OK, thanks, Kevin. Wading through the dreck I've tossed up hereis rather humbling, but I think I'll have to offer up this one in "My god, nobody else cares, so why doesn't he just shut the hell up about it?" category, in which I go into excruciatingly fine detail about a bunch of boats that have been obsolete for over sixty years AND manage to both brag and rag on myself at once.
