I've always been skeptical of Obama's "consensus-building" skills, wondering how he'll be able to bridge the divide between Republicans and Democrats when it seems as if he's unable to bridge the divide between Democrats.

A shame. Kerik would have been an excellent Secretary of Homeland Security, in my oh so humble opinion.

You forgot Linda Chavez. At least it got out now, instead of in the middle of the hearings. When will these people learn?

More is coming out every hour it seems. This guy had a TON of question marks.
He simply did not have the credibility for the job. I can only hope that the Administration vets the next candidate more thoroughly.

Well, not having Kerik as Secretary of DHS is our loss. I love these jerks who know absolutely nothing about law enforcement and security management making statements about a decorated cop's credibility or qualifcations or other things. And as far as Kerik making millions in the business world, only a commie would object to a man or woman succeeding in a capitalist system. Also, I love these Libs, they all for saturating the country with illegal aliens, but if a Republican hires one, they go ballistic. Like I said, we are the worse for not having Bernie Kerik heading the DHS.

I am glad he is out. He simply is not qualified and would be over his head in Washington. 15 minutes of fame does not qualify you to head a department like homeland security.
