The Richard Perle v DNC Chairman Howard Dean debate promised to put the lefties on parade for all they were worth... They never disappoint.
Protester Throws Shoe at Richard PerlePORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Howard Dean, the newly minted leader of the Democratic Party, and former Pentagon adviser Richard Perle made clear their opposing views on the war in Iraq during a debate marred by a protester who tossed a shoe at Perle.
Perle had just started his comments Thursday when a protester threw a shoe at him before being dragged away, screaming, "Liar! Liar!"
I bet they weren't leather shoes.
For those of you still clinging to hope the Democratic party can ever again represent the mainstream, do you give up yet?
Related: TNR say, liberalism is now bookless and dying, yup that about sums it up.
UPDATE The video of the debate can be see here I have not previewed it to see if the Birkenstock Bandit is on it.

Let's make a deal. You get to assign any random-ass lefty you want with membership in the Democratic Party. We get to say every right-wing nut or Nazi is in league with the Right. I reckon a Republican would be pretty offended if I said he belonged the party of David Duke, who actually ran on Republican tickets.
Failing that, maybe we could all stop saying every extremist idiot represents the soul of the other side.

I was at this particular event. The news media doesnt even beging to portray the sense of what actually happened.
Mr. Perle says, "We went into Iraq using the best information we had available at the time"
A scream, "LIAR! LIAR" a man runs right by me towards the stage. The man is screaming "LIAR, YOU F**ING LIAR!" He takes his shoe and throws it at Mr Perle and misses. He reaches for another shoe, but gets tackled by a security guard. But you need to understand that his mouth has not stopped, "You F**ING WH*RE WH*RE WH*RE"
There is a struggle as more secruity guards come to assist. You see the bum's head pop up and hear more obscenity.
About 6 or 8 Security Guards drag him off, and his screaming does not stop. You can still hear him screaming out in the hall.
If I was Mr. Perle, I would have been very shaken. It seemed like a very traumatic event.
Thats my perspective.

Fact is, no one on the right is freaking out, kicking and screaming, throwing things, swearing, etc. If you dumbasses knew what was good for your party, you would disown these freaks, Moore, Garofalo, Boxer, Kennedy- all! We house the terrorist organizations called the 'Animal Liberation Front (ALF)' and the 'Environmental Libertation Front (ELF)'. We had the famous Tre Arrow sit on our Army Corps of Engineers building and the police refused to get him down even though he was trespassing. Etc. etc.

Some protester threw a shoe at Perle, and that was asinine. Dont look for me to condone it, because I wont. I always find it ironic when "peace" protesters resort to violence, profanity, assault, etc. And when I say ironic I mean stupid.
Howard Dean said that he "hates Republicans and all they stand for." Thats stupid to say as well, as the statement puts millions into one group, encourages hate, and eliminates much room for dialogue. That doesnt help anyone, and I can understand why Republicans wouldnt like a guy who said that.
Similarly I think its deplorable when people attack liberals by calling them all stupid, treasonous, anti-american, and all of that. It's the same thing as what Dean did, and it happens on here alot.
Thats right kids, I'm a goddamn liberal. I have some views that some of you dont like, and thats fine, because I disagree with some of yours. OK? I dont go around saying that all conservatives are stupid, or that I hate them. I dont think that way at all actually.
