Down In The Weeds With The Pond Scum

I highly recommend the Vail Daily for the small town local angle on the Kobe Bryant rape story. Major media outlets have syndication deals all over the place. You will likely do much better reading the news from a local paper that has beat reporters and local relationships.

Here is the big scoop story to date from the Orange County (CA) Register (As run in The Seattle Times). See how the story spreads via syndication.

Now read the local angle on how this scoop was obtained in a particularly slimmy way, it's enlightening. The Vail Daily has the behind the scenes info on how the local teen was duped. Of course the National Enquirer is offering cash like chum to attract some cooperation. Ain't journalism grand?
