Get Outraged

Get mad, then start contacting your representative Kentucky residents.

As a result of Medicaid cuts, some Kentucky children with autism and other severe emotional disorders are losing services under a state program that pays for their therapy.

Using new, stricter standards for eligibility, the children are among nearly 2,000 Kentuckians who have been notified since Jan. 1 that they are no longer eligible for services at home or in the community through Medicaid.

The children's therapy program, Impact Plus, last year served more than 4,000 children, including about 120 with autism.
