Upscale Couch Potato

I'm sure it will get lots of use by baby's and Alzheimer's patients, since they both have $10K to drop on a couch.

Ananova - A high-tech sofa developed in an Irish university could help create the ultimate couch potato.
The computer-linked chair allows users to control cookers, kettles and lights or order take-away meals from their seat.

One of the scientists working on the project said today: "This system could be fitted to a child's cot and keep a watch on babies as they sleep.

"It could also be utilised to monitor people will illnesses such as Alzheimer's, making sure, where possible, that they are not at any risk on some occasions."

Build in a remote, small fridge, and a bottle opener and you'd never have to leave the couch let alone the house. DotComGuy proved you can spend a year in your house without ever having to leave thanks to the Internet.
