Meryl has proclaimed an Axis of Isabel. Sure, why not... She also provides some helpful hurricane survival tips, just not the kind you'll see on the news.

Axis of Isabel News Flash - My sources tell me the Federal Government will go liberal leave or early closing on Thursday (depending on the forecasts) so as not to have rush hour when the storm arrives and possibly be closed Friday. OPM usually holds off on announcements until as late as possible so the plans may not be made public until late Wednesday or even Thursday morning. Federal mangers are well versed in getting the early closing message out for winter storms so it is possible that no details will reach commuters until midday Thursday. Business and schools usually follow the governments lead in the DC area. School closing announcements have already begun...
