Donald Sensing notes that the guards at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery were given permission to abandon the post if they thought they were endangered by Hurricane Isabel.
They refused.
Honor and duty; not something to be taken lightly. This might be the best story of the storm.
