WMD Found? Not Quite Yet...

It has been a while since we had the cycle of WMD early reports that turned out not to be. Not to throw cold water on the InstaPundit report, but the source paper quoted has no mention of the story on its English site

Via Kate I found DeDoc's links to a WorldNetDaily article on the subject.

Now would be an excellent time to heed this advice.

Update: Keep and eye on this or this Google News page search to see if the reports spread.

Worldnet Daily isn't exactly a reliable source. I'll wait for the big guns to start saying it's true.

48 hour rule... rules.

That being said, I have a lively interest in tracking down the AP wire noted by the Hindustani Times in my cite. That would eb a bit "more reliable", to borrow the elegant turn of phrase.

Old Fart!:

According to MSNBC's run of a Reuters report, the Deputy Prime Minister/Interior Minister Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah climed it was actually *"archaeological artefacts and 'other items' "* that were being smuggled, which would make sense of the haul being enumerated in monetary terms. He's apparently being quoted by the same source (al-Seyassah) as the original story. Dunno what the "other items" are though...
