The web administrators at whitehouse.gov changed their robots.txt file the other day, and judging by the minor hysteria from the left you might have thought there was actually a story here, but there's not....

Kevin Drum is a pretty smart guy, who will stand up and admit when he's wrong. The official organ of the Democratic party (The DNC Blog) does not seem to have any qualms about making up conspiracy theories before gathering the facts.

Let this be a lesson to pure political bloggers, when you go off about technology be prepared to get burned if you don't know what you're talking about. Fortunately the hacking journal 2600 had the good sense to call the White House and get the full story.
