A Little Too Real

This report could be real bad news for MTV.

For the second time in three months, reality has intruded on MTV's "The Real World."

San Diego police are investigating a report from a woman who said she was raped while she was unconscious in a bathroom of the building that's being leased by the reality show, which has been taping in Point Loma since Aug. 23.

After possibly being drugged in a bar downtown, the woman woke up in the building, a former restaurant, on North Harbor Drive, according to an affidavit filed in San Diego Superior Court.

In the affidavit, the woman said that when she regained consciousness, she was being filmed by a camera crew. She also told police she believed the rape may have been videotaped.

[...]

Jamie Chung, a member of the cast, told San Diego police that she arrived at the "Real World" house the following morning and found the woman, who is not a resident of San Diego, lying on a living-room couch.

Chung asked others what had happened and was told by someone that the woman had been seen earlier, lying naked on the bathroom floor, the affidavit said.

Also, Chung was told a man, who is not a cast member and was identified only as "Justin," was seen leaving the bathroom and saying, "I just hit that," apparently referring to the woman on the floor.

Chung said she woke up the woman, who had been moved to the guest bedroom, and called someone to take her home.

The affidavit said the woman underwent a rape exam Nov. 16.

In the comments to this old Wizbang post you will notice that there a lot of people obsessed with getting into the Real World house - anyway possible.
