Isn't it a bit presumptuous... (Below threshold)1. Posted by cooper byrne | December 12, 2003 2:08 PM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
Isn't it a bit presumptuous to call it the "2003 Weblog Awards" with the second year of the Koufax Awards out there? Shouldn't it be called the right wing weblog awards or whoever the right-y equivalent of Sandy koufax is?

These awards have nothing to do with ideology (other that two very specific categories). The Bloggies (if they occur) would be going on their 4th year. None of them have anything to do with each other.

I don't think it is presumptous at all. It seems to me that Kevin is running a really good award process with a lot of interest and a lot of good ideas.
The Weblog Awards are certainly not in competition with the Koufax Awards and the Koufax Awards are not in competition with the Weblog Awards. Each serves its own purpose. Good luck with the Weblog Awards Kevin.

Someone is doing inflating the numbers for -- Best Group Blog:Powerline
Probably targetting first place, better watch out. They were not even on a third place a few days ago and now it looks like someone wants them 1st.

Kevin,
Not Rantburg (as far I as I know). Powerline was inflated, you've got it backwards! :-)

The logs don't lie. I had not looked over that category yet. Rantburg stood out severly, Powerline less, but still inflated.
