Daniel P. Finney writes a nice little article about the Democratic candidates and their theme music. I, and I alone I'm sure, have always found this fascinating. As much as I supported Ronald Reagan, I always found his use of Born in the USA a little disconcerting. On the other hand, Bill Clinton's constant blaring of Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop" was absolutely perfect, eliciting images of a man with his balls hanging out while a woman stares lovingly at his crotch. What could be more Clintonesque?
Since it's Friday and you certainly have nothing better to do, let's find some new and more fitting tunes for our beloved Dems.
John Kerry:
Currently playing: "The Rising" and "No Surrender," by Bruce Springsteen.
Suggested: ""Feed My Frankenstein"" by Alice Cooper
Howard Dean
Currently Playing: "Beautiful Day," by U2, and "Bittersweet Symphony," by The Verve.
Suggested: "Birds Fly (Whisper to a Scream)" by Icicle Works (The "Broken, at the bitter end" line seems especially appropriate)
Wesley Clark
Currently Playing: "Don't Stop Believin,'" by Journey, and "Hey Ya," by OutKast.
Suggested: "Generals and Majors" by XTC
Joe Lieberman
Currently Playing: "Elevation," by U2, and "Can't Stop This Thing We Started," by Bryan Adams.
Suggested: "Bad Luck" by Social Distortion
John Edwards
Currently Playing: "Small Town" and "Your Time Is Now," by John Mellencamp
Suggested: "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred (Runner-up: "Big Hair, Broken Heart" by Betty Blowtorch)
Dennis Kucinich
Currently Playing: "Imagine," by John Lennon
Suggested: "Institutionalized" by Suicidal Tendencies
Al Sharpton
Currently Playing: Nothing, but he likes Yolanda Adams
Suggested: Nothing, he's almost impossible to parody.
Feel free to submit your suggestions in the comments.

Great list!
I can't think of anything for Al -- that Paul Simon thing has been done to death by some other loser -- How about "Dancin' Fool" by Frank Zappa?
