Three weeks of Stern's rants over this?
WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal regulators continued their crackdown on indecency Thursday, issuing a fine for a broadcast of the Howard Stern radio show and ruling that an expletive uttered by rock singer Bono on NBC violated broadcast standards. It's possible other fines could be filed against him in the future, and if current legislation passes the fine for this incident would have been $500,000.The Federal Communications Commission proposed fining Infinity Broadcasting the maximum $27,500 for a Stern show broadcast on WKRK-FM in Detroit.
