Today is also twenty years to the day from the first day of 1984, one of the most important pieces of fiction ever written.
"It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen....
"April 4, 1984: Last night to the flicks. All war films...."
There's a book that's worth a regular re-read.
