This weeks Weekend Caption Contest™ has concluded. There were many excellent captions. No Carping about the selections, the winning captions for this picture:

1) (Meryl Yourish) - "Hey, Jonah... can you hear me now?"
2) (Rob A.) - "Colin Farrell and Keifer Sutherland in Fish Booth."
3) (Jay Tea) - "Having misunderstood the terms of his frat brothers' wager, Steve here poses with "the best piece of BASS" he could find."
Time for me to catch a ride to Nineveh.
Until Friday (when Rodney has might have the con!)
So long and thanks for all the fish.
Also the Ipse Dixit Caption Contest has concluded and a new one has started. You should visit Dodd's caption page for some excellent captions for a Condi Rice Picture, as well as viewing the new contest.

All excellent choices. And you've still got the con next week.

I have absolutely no problem deferring to Meryl's entry this week. While not quite the blockbuster that Rodney's "cigar" one of a few weeks ago, it still stood head and shoulders above the rest.
And as the contributor of 8 of the 23 entries it rose above, that's painful to admit.
I had my money on Lair's "Cellphone Blueshorts" to make the top 3, however. Oh, well. I guess that's why Rodney's in charge of this. De gustibus non est disputandam.

Lair's was pretty good. My opinion was set on the first two, but there were really 3-4 in the running for third. Its probably due to my own pride, but I didn't want to resort to a tie my first time out.

I'm flattered and honored, and I just told it to my mom, and she laughed. There ya go.
