Haines man in critical condition after stove explodes

ANCHORAGE (April 9, 1:10 pm ADT) - A Haines area man has died of injuries suffered in a wood stove explosion at his home.
Gene Stuart, 62, suffered first- and second- degree burns on 50 percent of his body Tuesday in the mishap at his remote cabin at Chilkat Lake northwest of Haines, Alaska State Troopers said.

Of course, the headline COULD have read that he was in "stable" condition and still been somewhat accurate...
...after all, if dead, his condition is not likely change and is pretty stable.
