Four people have been arrested over the beheading of US businessman Nicholas Berg, whose killing was shown earlier this month in a video on an al-Qaeda linked website, a senior Iraqi source said today. No word on the identities or nationalities of those arrested.Asked if more than one person had been arrested in connection with the killing, the source said: "Yes, four people."
Mr Berg's beheading was shown on a grainy video posted on the Islamic website linked to Osama bin Laden's terror network, days after his body was found in Baghdad on May 8.
"We have made good progress," the source added, referring to the investigation, but declined to give any details on the identity of the four people held in detention.
But it was understood that none of the four included Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who US authorities believe carried out the killing of the 26-year-old who was in Iraq to drum up business for his small telecommunications company.

I think if "they" actually had four people in custody then they would have announced it as a major "news break". If Nick was involved in the terrorist action then he deserved what he got. If he was not then I have complete sympathy for the family and friends. I think his dad is out of line to try to blame Bush for this. if he was so concerned for his son why did he not try to get him to 1) stay in the USA 2) come home when the goverment offered to send him ? Sounds like (from what I understand) that Nick had other agenda's in Iraq and maybe qwas worried so much about money and getting richer that it cot him his life.
My prayors are still for him.

I think there are some potentially interesting aspects Nick Berg's background. I blogged briefly on them earlier...but I just don't feel comfortable drawing any conclusions yet. I guess we'll find out eventually.

My prayers go out for the family of Nick. Their greif is something that I cannot comprehend. Nicks mom begged him not to go is what I heard. He wanted the almighty dollar and was willing to take the risk. It cost him his life. But who is really responsible for his death? 1st and formost the Islamic radicals who cut off his head. They are murderers who will answer to the real God soon. But also I think that 60 minutes 2 has as much blood on their hands. Releasing that video, at this time, so that they could make the almighty dollar gave the radicals a reason in their minds to kill him. (keep in mind that he was missing since April 9th, so the radicals probably planned to kill him no matter what, but were waiting for a "news" moment to do it). 60 Minutes knew without question that by releasing that video they would be putting EVERY American over there into more harms way, but they obviously did not care as long as they could get a good ratings score that day. Pathetic! May God have mercy on all their souls.
